Great value, fantastic for a family. Quiet area. Good communication, clean flat, washing facilities and kitchen quite well equipped.

Couldn't find a way to make coffee but there is an excellent café/bakery right downstairs

The apartment is spacious and it's in a quiet area, close to restaurants and a supermaket.

As every other review mentions, the check in was far more difficult than it needed to be. The owners said they will only give the check in instructions once we are at the property, and when we got there they didn't reply to my message. After reading the reviews, I knew they can only speak Italian, so I got one of my Italian friends (who wasn't travelling with me) to call the owners and ask them for instructions, as I don't speak Italian. The steps for getting the keys would be trivially easy to communicate via text and could prevent a significant amount of stress for future guests. The lights in the hallway, toilet and kitchen come on every 15 minutes and the bedroom doors are completely see-through, so if you're a light sleeper, you won't get the best night's sleep. Luckily we sleep pretty well and we also put a blanket on top of the door, so it wasn't a major issue for us.

Great location if you plan to see the coast by car: in the middle between Genoa and Spezia, close to Portofino and Sestri Levante. Cozy town with incredibly beautiful cathedral (seriously, you have to visit it), lots of restaurants 10 mins away from the apartment and a European analogue of Uber eats. Nice and big apartment perfect for a family. Bed in children's room can be separated in two separate beds plus you have the sofa in the living room. There's always free parking in the street in front of the apartment building but we used the one on the opposite side surrounded by other buildings (you can see it from the kitchen). Enough blankets to accommodate a small army. Very clean. Pretty good bakery in the same building for all your breakfasts needs. Apartment has a Nespresso machine and two Moka pots - make sure to try them as it's the best coffee you can make when on the road. The cooking panel is induction type which is such an upgrade over a conventional one! Two terraces will be great during warmer days.

Checking in wasn't smooth: calling the number listed in the description we reached someone who didn't speak English and refused to talk via messaging (where Google translate could have helped us). We had to involve booking.com support to get someone English speaking to call us and explain how to get in. Probably the place is more popular with people from Italy than foreigners. It is likely mentioned in the description on booking.com, but there's no WiFi, kettle, dishwasher or frying pans. Everything except for the last one is not a big issue for us. Small but infuriating thing: kitchen, hallway and toilet have motion activated lights which stay on for 15 minutes. Plus all bedroom doors have huge glass panels. So if someone gets up at night for a glass of water or a crying child, not only will he get bright lights in his eyes but it will also shine on everyone else cozily sleeping in their beds. It's fixable by hanging blankets on the doors but still... Bedroom didn't have a way to completely block the sunlight unlike living room that had folding blinds. Overall, all the things listed here are minor and didn't spoil our great impression of the apartment.

Worst check in ever ... Checking in felt more like an escape room than a simple check in .. the adres we got was just a street not even a house number.. when we called the people only spoke italian .. we don't speak italian we tried french and English but we got no further.. eventually we had to ask some random strangers on the street who did spoke english to translate for us . Then we finally got the house number .. we asked for the code of the key box so we could get inside .. but they refused to give it to us untill we were in front of the building which we could not enter because the front door to the apartment complex was locked, we called them again but no one picked up the phone ... After 3 calls they finally picked up and told us to press a certain bell near the entrance ... Now we were finally in the apartment complex but still had no code for the key box ... 10 minutes later we receiver an sms telling us where the door was .. we arrived at the door where the keybox was.. but still no code ... We had to send several SMS to confirm we were in front lf the door ... And still no code to the box ... Finally after spending an hour and half of escape room calls and multiple sms we finally had the code to the keybox ... Something that is normally done with one simple sms or call the RIGHT address and keybox code took us 1.5 + hour of "simple check in with keybox " ... The light in house are almost all automatic and go off after "15 " minutes... The doors to the sleeping rooms are normal glass so we had a bright white hallway ligt in shining into our rooms the entire night as the automatic system made them turn on often during the night randomly without any movement ... So we were woken up often during the night by this bright white light shining into our rooms And the Light in the bathroom was broken NEVER again !!!
