The Falls room, with a Queen Victorian theme, is a spacious size and is situated on the second floor. It offers an abundance of natural light and abounds in rich elegance. It is the original master suite, and contains a comfortable king-size bed, as well as two plaid, wingback chairs for lounging and a desk if work needs to be done. The en-suite bath features a tub/shower combination. As with every room at our inn, Falls is unique from furnishings to color palette, including the beautiful red fireplace (non-operational) with original tile and cover from the early 1900s. This room can become a two-room suite when joined with the Tanglewood room, if you are traveling with family or friends. Built in 1907 as the private residence of Henry Fries Shaffner, the co-founder of Wachovia Loan and Trust, this extravagant Victorian-style mansion boasts Tiger oak hand-carved paneling, original coal-burning fireplaces, a grand staircase and priceless antiques.
