Excellent views, extremely clean and very quite. The host was very helpful and friendly.

We occupied the smaller of the two apartments which has plenty of room for two people. The bathroom is a bit small. Everything thing is very new (newly renovated) and was very clean upon arrival. The kitchen is equipped with what one needs. The atmosphere is of a waterfront dwelling with great views on the lake from each window. From the terrace you look more on the small harbour. Maurizio is the most attentive host imaginable ! He wants to make sure you’re happy, and we were ! You‘re staying in a very old building complex where regular, non-vacationing folks live. We enjoyed that aspect of it. All in all, we hope to return.

When you occupy the smaller, lower apartment, the entry gate to both apartments is at you level and the access to the upper apartment goes right past your front door and a part of your terrace. It’s not a big deal, but meeting the upstairs occupants several times a day is quite possible.

This newly renovated apartment is part of a castle that dates back to 1127. The apartment has water on 3 sides, and it is possible to enjoy the view from all rooms, from the balconies (there are 3!), and of course from the large terrace. The pebble beach is just on the other side of the castle, and there are a few restaurants and bars in the area as well. The small village with a supermarket is just a short walk away. The owner has a keen sense of details, and the apartment is nicely renovated. It had all we needed, even a washing machine and a dishwasher. The place is ideal for families who like to be close to the beach, want to avoid the tourist crowds at the coast, and don’t mind that it is a lake with a pebble beach. Or for anybody who enjoy waking up to the beautiful view of both mountains and lakes.

As everywhere on the lake there are some mosquitoes in the evening, so we had to keep all doors and windows closed at night. With no air con that was at times very hot (in July). A suggestion for an improvement would be mosquito nets in front of the windows in the bedrooms. But maybe people who are more used to mosquitos, or do not travel with children, are less sensitive to mosquito bites.
