Comfortable and convenient with a friendly host

I was very comfortable in my 3 day stay in The Shack. Very clean room with modern facilities. It was very conveniently located, particularly to the beautiful riverside walk and Piper Street cafes. Kirsten was a lovely host and made a point of checking to see that everything was fine. Would definitely stay again.

Compact and comfortable

Overall comfortable. Bed comfortable. Good amenities. Nice bathroom products provided. Good lighting up the pathway at night. Although no instructions for aircon that I could see, I worked it out and it was very effective.

I accidentally locked the window closed. A key for the lock would have been handy. No smoke alarm that I could see.

I’d definitely stay there again

The property was warm, cute and cosy, the bed was gorgeous and comfy. The location was perfect, quiet street but only a short walk to Piper and Mollison streets.

The bathroom was clean and functional but not as cute the bedroom

The accommodation was delightful in character and everything you needed was supplied.

On seeing the shack we were glad we got it on a discounted rate i guess for booking last minute.

Shack is really a donga squeezed in at the back of another property. It is tiny, has no off street parking which was a concern for us with roof racks and carrying in luggage. We couldnt find the garden view either. The description should be a bit more reflective of the property.

Luxury shack

Unexpected luxury fabulously comfortable bed plenty warm additional blankets which though cooler we didn't need. Nice touch with flavoured soda water and crackers in addition to the tea, coffee etc. More equipment in kitchenette than in many larger cabins. Very quiet location.

we felt at home straight away, Kirsten,our host was lovely and helpful. loved our stay. will be back.

plenty of room for 2, bed very cosy, bathroom new with good water pressure, fridge larger than most, tea coffee, sugar, coffee pods, milk and snacks provided.

Exceptional

I loved everything about the shack. It was spotless, inviting, with great facilities....facial wipes in the bathroom and wonderful hand wash/lotion... a coffee machine and a bed comparable to a 5 star hotel and great bathroom with great water pressure in the shower. Soooo close to cafes and restaurants...yet still quiet. Our host greeted us with a welcoming smile and made us feel so comfortable. We can't recommend this accommodation enough. We'll be back.

Ours was a quick stay but Shack OTB had everything we needed for a comfortable stay .

personally hate doonas .. especially when weather is warm , always appreciate finding a blanket ..

Too many issues, that could be fixed.

clean and great location, easy walk to river and town. small snack and soft drink nice touch. friendly owner.

shower rose was too low for a 5’10” person. bedding was too thick and hot for us (lighter option would have been good). no instructions for aircon - never seen one like this. tea but no coffee (that is not good).. no plunger / capsule machine, or even instant coffee. somewhat small, TV in awkward place to watch while seated or in bed. been to many places in area with more nice touches for lower price.
