Heart of Gangtok with a Homely Vibe! ❤️* Mellow Fellow is right on MG Marg - the best location in Gangtok city! You can step out and everything is walkable - cafes, shops, market. The room was cozy, clean and super budget-friendly. The real highlight is the staff - super friendly, helpful and creates such a warm, social vibe with evening music, jamming & karaoke in the common area. It doesn't feel like a hostel, it feels like home. Perfect for solo travelers, friends, or anyone who wants to explore Gangtok easily without spending too much. Highly recommended!
The only thing is that you will have to take your towel, slippers, soap, etc., along with you.
Everything was good except for the Wi-Fi. The Wi-Fi connection was a bit poor.

Loved the location. Room was okay and clean. Staff was polite. Good stay for the price.

Loved the location, it was very convenient as it's right on New Market, MG marg. Apart from that, the people are the real asset here, very hospitable and amazing. Had a lovely stay, would love to come again.
The rooms/dorms could've been a bit more clean and maintained. For example the bed light which wasn't working, the charging socket had a bit of an issue as it was getting disconnected frequently. These could be fixed. Apart from that everything was great

The receptionist was asking 50 rupees for tourism fee, which indeed exceeded my expectations.
Toilet, amenities and water supply was bogus, water 💦 supply is inadequate for 4 people in a mixed dorm with the same for drinking water as well.
P.S. Also, a fraudster is staying at the first room popularly known as Bamboo supported by the receptionist herself. I've included his photo is red
