Superb

Perfect location, very clean

There weren’t many options to dispose the trash and the room itself had very small windows so fresh air was rare

Very clean and good communication with owners. Bed seemed smaller than a normal double size and mattress very firm. Room

The location was good and close to everything. Noisy until the pic across the road closed.

The Tom was much smaller than the photos showed. We were in room 2. Room 1 was much bigger with space to hang clothes. Small bathroom opposite the room with a separate key.

Great location very comfortable and easy to access tourists locations nearby and everything in town.

Perfect location in Portree for travelling to other locations and literally in the heart of town.

Pub across the road could get pretty noisy.

The room was The room faced a garbage dump towards the back. In the room the refrigerator was not plugged in. The description said that there was a sea view, which was completely missing.

Pleasant

The room was clean and it was on a very frequented place in Portree.

The room (double bedroom for 2 people) matched the descriptions although it was a little bit too small for two persons. We could have done with some shelves or a small wardrobe so that our clothes does not have to be stored in our luggages along the way.

Clean room but noisy neighborhood

The room and bathroom were very clean. There was a code to enter. Although you never saw the hosts, you still felt that you were in good hands.

The pub across the street and the drunk people walking the streets at night were very noisy.

Low-frills comfort in the center of Portree

The location is perfect for accessing the town, the harbor, the main square and the supermarket. Check-in and check-out were super easy, and, despite the central location, the room was quiet. We didn't expect to find the little portable refrigerator in the room. It came in very handy because we often left to go trekking in the morning before the supermarket had opened, so we could shop for provisions the night before. The owner was not there at all, but she provided a very handy binder filled with all of the information we might have needed.

The room was clean, but the bathroom had a basement-like smell. The photos on Booking are quite flattering, I must say. In the end, the room was fairly basic, but the price was fair based on what we found in the area.

Just what we expected and needed for visiting on a budget.

It is a great location and easy to walk anywhere in town. The description of the rooms is what they advertise - don’t expect overly large rooms or an attached bathroom. That is what makes the price reasonable for Skye.

Not a big complaint, but there is an automatic motion light in the hallway so every time you went to go to the bathroom, a bright Hallway light came on. Makes perfect sense for safety, but in the middle of the night it was just really bright.

Ideal location. Room on the small side but fine. Private bathroom across the hall a little strange but you get used to it. Everything was clean and new and we felt very at hom

Comfy beds, clean rooms. Receptive staff were helpful and sent detailed self-check in instructions.

We stayed in a family room and there was one towel rail. Some extra hooks/rails in the bathroom are needed.

Comfortable bed, little tea area, clean bathroom, easy contact with host, great location in the middle of the village with many shops in walking distance

A little inconvenient to have the bathroom across the hall. Hall would be quite noisy from time to time.

Great location, comfy beds, detached bathroom.

Fantastic location, comfortable beds, helpful and kind staff. Right in the centre of everything and easy to find. Be aware the only way up is via the stairs (totally fine for us, but if you have mobility issues it could be a challenge).

The bathroom for room 5 is not actually attached to the hotel room. It is private and right across the hall, but you need to bring the key with you and cross into public space each time. Not the end of the world, but a little annoying.
