As you arrive to this charming lake house, Hickory Hideaway, you will immediately notice the view of Lake Lure and quickly begin to unwind! Lake Lure is special and the views from this house are exceptional. Upon entering the house, you will be taken away by the high-pitched ceilings and exposed beams. To your left is the newly renovated half bath and fully equipped kitchen to gather and prepare your meals. The dining room table seats six comfortably and looks out over the lake as does the living room. The living room is very cozy with its gas fireplace and flat screen TV. Step outside from the living room/dining room to a beautiful new deck with outdoor dining and gas grill. Take the stairs up to the open loft with its queen size bed and fabulous view of the lake. There are two bedrooms on the terrace level, including a master suite with a queen bed and private bathroom. The second bedroom has one twin bed and a double bed. You may access a small deck from each of these rooms with beautiful lake views and steps leading down to the boathouse. Outside the two bedrooms is a remodeled bathroom and the house is equipped with a washer & dryer. Meander down several steps to the boathouse, which has a large deck on top with a tiki hut and grill. It's a wonderful place to relax with a cold beverage and watch the boats go by. Walk downstairs and jump into the cool lake and swim over to the floating dock. Feel free to use our 3 kayaks or canoe and take a leisurely ride. Once done playing in the lake, you can head back up to the rooftop deck and relax while viewing Chimney Rock in the distance. This is such a cozy and comfortable lake home, a great place to relax and enjoy a family getaway! You'll want to return again and again! Visit the spectacular Biltmore Estate or take a country drive along the Blue Ridge Parkway. Eat and drink your way through the stunning wineries and breweries that the area has to offer. For the more adventurous head out to do some rock climbing, white water rafting, zip lining or horse back riding. The options are endless! Look our for some of the many festivals that the area has to offer, including our own Lake Lure Dirty Dancing festival that is held every September. Asheville, Hendersonville, Black Mountain, Flat Rock and Mars Hill area all within a short drive for fun family day trips. Home Truths: - Sleeps in beds: 7 - Max Occupancy: 7 - Includes 2 bedrooms and an open loft area - Yonder provides linens for all beds; other occupancy will require guests providing their own linens - Lake Lure will be undergoing a drawdown starting January 1st, 2024 through the first quarter of 2024(March 31st). The lake will begin to be lowered by approximately 1 foot per day until 12 feet has been reached. Infrastructure maintenance, dredging, and dam projects will be expedited during this time frame. These efforts by the Town of Lake Lure may affect access to the lake and restrict any lake usage. The lake will likely be back up to normal levels by mid to late April. While we understand this is an inconvenience, this does allow you to enjoy the full beauty of Lake Lure in the fall and holiday season. - Internet Speed: Strong wifi connection throughout all levels/rooms in the house capable for both Wifi 5&6 standards. Connection extends outside down to the boat house deck enabling streaming capabilities or 24/7 work from home options at any location on the property. If you have a pet we can recommend some alternatives nearby. Early Check In and/or Late Check Out may be possible, depending on cleaning schedules and other reservations. If it is possible, there may be an additional fee that would be determined based on the time that you wish to check in or out and the seasonal rates.
