My family of three stayed here for a long weekend due to a hockey tournament at the Olympic rink. It was very convenient to the rink (literally a block) and downtown. The decor was cute, the bed was comfortable and we had a good stay. If I were going to rent again, however, I would rent one of the upstairs units rather than this one. The ceilings were thin and we could hear the people above us all day and night. They were not partying or being obnoxious, it was just constant noise. I was also surprised by the fact that there were not even basic welcoming supplies provided for a morning coffee. No sugar, no tiny cream packet, no coffee, no filters, nothing. I know the trend for rentals like these is to provide the bare minimum but there was *nothing*. I wasn’t told otherwise, so I am not complaining, but I wish I had not assumed there would be something to get through the first morning. The weather was also cold and snowy during our trip. Part of the checkout is to take out the trash (again, normal) but neither the walkway in front of the building nor the area in front of the outside trash container was shoveled so I was wading through shin-high snow to throw the trash out.

This place was so well cared for, inviting and comfortable. It had all the kitchen necessities from home. Communication with owner was very responsive and accommodating. Very close to Olympic rinks and village. I highly recommend staying here and I hope to be back.

My husband, I stayed over Thanksgiving and weekend. The apartment was well stocked and beautifully decorated in Adirondack/ski style. The apartment is about a block away from the Main Street and half a block from the skate arena. We had everything we needed for our weekend.

We had a wonderful relaxing weekend up in Lake Placid and this property was perfect! The unit was immaculate and cozy. Kitchen was fully stocked with plenty of utensils, plates, cookware, etc. Location was close to Main Street and we did walk to the shops one day. Check-in was super easy and I would definitely rent this property again.

Check in was extremely easy. The apartment looked exactly the same as online. Very clean and loved we were able to bring our dogs! The sliders made it very convenient to take the dogs outside when they had to go. I would stay here again!

Was beautiful and perfectly situated. However, being on the bottom floor, the upstairs neighbors are very easy to hear. So the thumping in the mornings made an alarm unnecessary.

This place was great for athletes and spectators of IMLP. It is close to the center and the oval so plenty to do in walking distance .

We were in the bottom apartment and could hear walking, scraping of furniture being dragged across the floor and voices of the above guests. This apartment is not ideal if noise from the above apartment is an issue and annoying to a dog. The apartment is great place to stay with a dog easy access to outside private area. Parking easy. Would benefit from parking lot striping.

Great host that runs a smooth process! Property is ideally situated close to all of the action. The property is well maintained and appointed. This unit is susceptible to noise from the neighboring units overhead during day hours but was reasonably quiet in the evening. Overall, we’d stay again if hockey brings us back this way again!

4 best friends escaped for a girls weekend. The property was very clean, a short walk into lake placid. We didn’t drive anywhere all weekend. Very easy to find and access. It was adorable, clean, warm and very accommodating. Our only complaint the entire weekend was the renters above us were very obnoxious between 5am- 8am. We stayed for 2 nights and complained to the property manager who was quick to respond and attempt to resolve the issue. This DOES NOT reflect on them, simply renters with no common courtesy. We adored the property and it was very large for being an apartment like set up. Would stay again!

This location was the perfect spot to do some leaf peeping in the fall. Within walking distance to Main Street and easy to get too. We brought our two pups with us too and they loved it. Very well stocked with pots, pans, utensils, cups, etc. A few comments (didn’t negatively impact our stay) the first night it was rather warm so we wanted to turn the AC on but it wasn’t working. There was also batteries missing from the remotes. A note-this is a lower level apartment so if there are people above, you will hear them walking around. The place was very cozy and stocked with lots of extra blankets and towels. The water pressure is AMAZING! And there’s a nice walkout patio with Adirondack chairs and a BBQ grill. Will stay here again in the future.

This is a spacious and attractive apartment, with beautiful wood floors, huge closets, granite countertops in the well-equipped kitchen. There’s a private backyard and a patio with comfy chairs and a grill. Five minute walk to Main Street, which is full of shops and restaurants. Highly recommend.

The Placid Peaks house was very welcoming, the location was perfect. Overall, the unit was wonderful, the kitchen was well stocked and the linens were fluffy and soft. The unit was in need of a deep clean. Having access to laundry in the unit was a huge plus!! Communication with the owner was easy, although receiving a response during our stay was slow. Overall, if the unit was cleaned better, it would have totally been worth the price.
