Located in Smith Mountain Lake, this attractive condo for $189 per night is a great option for your next break. Resting high on a hill overlooking the lake, Belview Bay Get-a-Way offers magnificient views both day and night of Smith Mountain Lake from the living area and deck of the end unit condo. There is NO BETTER PLACE for sunsets than at Belview Bay. During fall and winter the Dam is visible from the master bedroom window. Whether your visit entails getting away and resting or you are looking for fun, SML offers it all. Enjoy a day boating on the lake fishing or exploring the coves and eat at one of the many lake front eating places or hang back and enjoy the pool. Enjoy beauty, comfort and luxury in this comfortably apportioned end-unit condo. The full kitchen offers space to prepare and cook food while others chat at the kitchen bar. The living area is surrounded with windows which overlook the pool, lake and marina. There is plenty of storage, and the loft (1/2 bedroom) offers a a daybed with a trundle. Upstairs, the master bedroom is large and has a newly furnished sitting area in addition to the king size bed. There is also a television with Comcast xfinity in the master bedroom. Adjacent to the master, the second bedroom has a bunk bed with a full size bed on bottom and twin sized bed on top. The bathroom has a jetted tub surrounded by tile. The loft is open to the large living area, but it is suitable for two to sleep comfortably on the twin daybed and trundle. FYI YOU WILL NEED TO BRING SHEETS AND TOWELS. PILLOWS ARE PROVIDED. The half bath is downstairs and allows a private area for changing and getting ready. Enjoy gathering in the living room at the tv or enjoy the view in the sitting area. The deck is a perfect place to end the evening watching the grand sunsets, the deer eating and the ducks crossing the lake. Then start the next day with coffee on the deck. Activities nearby include walking the miles of trails at Smith Mountain State Park; swimming; boating; jet skiing; fishing for striper; checking out The Cliffs; shopping at Bridgewater Marina (about 20 minutes); visiting the SML Dam visitors center; visiting the D-Day Memorial in Bedford (about 30 minutes); visiting the Booker T. Washington Home near West Lake (about 30 minutes). Wintergreen Ski Resort is about an hour and a half away; the Peaks of Otter are a lovely hiking get-a-way; Zip-lines within 30 minutes drive. The newest adventure is a rope swing just before you reach the dam on the right. (Shhh) Eating options nearby include The Dam Grill near Whitehouse Store, Heath's Waterfront Grill at Mariner's Landing, and the snack shop at SML State Park (seasonal). The White House Store at the intersection of White House Road and SM Parkway has a good grill and deli. Golf at Mariner's Landing is 2 miles from the condo. The course is long and the scenery is good. There is a driving range. The pro-shop has hot-dogs, hamburgers and grilled sandwiches. This is a great location in a quieter section of the lake which has plenty of goodies to make your stay enjoyable. Please note: High-speed internet was recently made available at this unit.

We had a terrific time in the condo. It was clean and well appointed. The pool was awesome and had a great supply of inflatables! There is long path that goes down the hill to the lake where we were able to put in our paddle boards. Just be prepared for a workout walking back up the hill. Overall, we had a great time.

We loved the location and the view! Having the pool on the property and being able to walk right down to the lake was also great! The condo and the kitchen in particular had everything that we needed. The owner communicated with us quickly when we had questions or minor issues. You are required to bring your own sheets as well as bathroom and kitchen towels, which is clearly stated in the listing (just FYI). There is a coin operated washer and dryer, but no washer and dryer in the condo unit itself. Everything was very clean. The only criticisms we had are 1) The large sectional sofa looks really comfortable, but the springs are shot, and it was difficult to sit comfortably and to get out of the couch. 2) The porch had SO many spiders and spiderwebs all over the railing, furniture, screens, and walls. Obviously, we know that happens with outdoor spaces, but it looked like it just hadn't been swept or cleaned off in quite some time. Overall, it was a great rental for our family.

The property was great. I have not used VRBO before, so I am not sure of the protocols about linens. I would not use a VRBO again if I am responsible for bringing linens. This requires more packing and makes the trip less enjoyable. However, the property was great and we enjoyed it.

We were down there for a wedding so the location was great for us. We had a nice stay even with Hurricane Ian looming around all weekend while we were there. There’s a convenience store about 5 miles down the road so that was helpful when we had a power outage due to the storm. I wish we could of enjoyed the outdoors a little more but it’s okay we still had a good time. Hope to be back!

The condo was great. The owner was very prompt with replies to any questions, or concerns that we had. It would be nice if there were covered boat slips at the property, but I understand that the owner has no control over that situation. Parkway Marina is just a mile away, therefore we kept our boat there. Nice get away.

Overall the property was cute- the condo itself accurate as described. I was disappointed with the lake access- there was none- only boat slips, no dock or ladder for swimming- feel that could be better described in the description of the property

We really enjoyed this place! The condo was comfortable and clean and the views and the pool were FANTASTIC. We filled the place to bursting with two adults, three adult sized teens and a 12 year old, but everyone enjoyed it.

We had never been to Smith Mountain Lake before. We were surprised that there was absolutely nothing to do there. The closest restaurants were 45 minutes away and almost all were closed because it was out of season. The only one that was open only accepted cash. We had to drive to Roanoke to do eat and shop. If you have a boat, then you are all set but make sure everything is open and you know where all the restaurants are first before you book it. With that said, the property was nice and clean. The owners were really nice and very responsive. If you are looking for a quiet place to relax and bring your own food, this is a great place. If you are looking for shopping, restaurants, etc., this is not for you.

We had a nice little weekend stay at this property. The condo is much bigger than we anticipated from the pictures which was very nice! There’s plenty of seating in the common areas, great for families who want to play games or have a meal together. The condo is in a good location, it was quiet and had a decent view. Couldn’t have asked for it to be much better.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, the view never got old. We brought our boat and being out on the lake never got old either. The condo was nice and comfortable. The only negative was that we did have a few items stolen off our boat the first night. We would stay here again.

What a view!!

Stunning views overlooking the cove at Smith Mountain Lake greeted us when we arrived. A family of deer were in the neighboring yard only a few yards away and were not startled at our arrival. Plenty of natural light in this end unit condo. Easy access to the salt water pool and docks. We went kayaking several times throughout the week and found the mornings very peaceful with calm lake waters. The State Park is only a few miles away with a beach and miles of hiking trails. The condo was well maintained with all the needed items to make our stay both easy and enjoyable.

Property itself was a neat set up and the pool was great. Listing indicated linens were required, which is ok if you’re into making and unmaking beds then doing a ton of laundry after your trip. We made the choice that we were ok with it this time. But we didn’t know we would need to bring everything else until after we had already booked and it was too late to cancel. Toilet paper, trash bags, dish soap, etc. Info that should be included in the listing up front.

Our family of 6 had a wonderful stay at the lake. It was the perfect place for us to unwind. The boys loved fishing and swimming at the lake all day long. Park side marina was so close and very helpful with our rental. We can’t wait to visit again!!!
