About this house rental

Close to all Pocono attractions relax with the whole family or friends at this peaceful place to stay. Great views of the forest with occasional visits from local deers and bears. Just 10 min from Tobyhanna State Park, 15 min from Kalahari and 20 min from Camelback. This home backs to state game lands 221 and sits next to a vacant lot so it is very private and quiet, yet it’s very close to everything the Poconos offer. Skiing, boating, hiking, water rafting and so much more. The home offers brand new remodeled bathrooms with modern taste, luxury vinyl flooring, cellular blackout shades in addition to blackout curtains, modern light fixtures and a great cabin in main level with wood walls and wood ceiling with white washout decor paint. The back deck has been expanded to hold a hottub for 6 people covered with a nice pergola that will be working in the fall, spring and summer months only.

The house was perfect, lots of space and very clean. I asked multiple times about the process for late checkout and never got a reply. I also only got check in instructions 30 minutes after check in. If that had been smoother, would have given 5 stars.

It is a quiet and clean house. The facilities are convenient. As we were using 6 adults, the bunk beds for children were uncomfortable. The downside is that there is no air conditioning. There are too many bugs and the windows cannot be opened because there are no window screens. It was a bit hot and it was difficult. Overall, I have been comfortable.

The house has been newly renovated (brand new flooring, soft furnishings, great bathrooms, reliable heating, not brand new but new-ish, serviceable appliances) . Everything inside was very tastefully decorated and arranged. The view into the backyard is absolutely spectacular! If you like wilderness with deer hanging out at an arm's reach this is the place for you. The area is nice, convenient for hiking, Kalahari is 15min away, GWL and Camelback are around a ~30min drive. We stayed for 4 nights and enjoyed our time. Yolanda was very quick to respond whenever we needed her to. There are a total of 3 bedrooms which can comfortably sleep 8 guests. The beds have firm mattresses. The couches are pull-out and there is definitely the opportunity to sleep more people. There were only 3 of us with our 2 dogs and we had more than enough space. One thing we were not aware of is that the pet fee was $200 per dog, not in total so I think we ended up paying as much in fees as we did for the actual stay. Yolanda was great in that she worked with us on the second pet fee - still, it's a quite a big higher than the pet fees we're used to. When we stayed there there were still a lot of building materials like broken light fixtures, mirrors, old heaters left over from the renovation all around the side of the house. My guess is that they were under snow and since we stayed right after a big snow melt we inadvertently ended up seeing them before the owners had had a chance to clean up. The street is very quiet and the yard great for kids, but I wasn't comfortable letting my 4 year old enjoy it because of all the building leftover stuff.
