This Hawaii-chic, quiet condo is located in the heart of downtown Kailua Kona. Across the street is a beautiful beach, famous for watching the sunset. Walk to island shops, Restaurants, Live Entertainment, Activities, a Trolley station, farmers’ market. This is a cozy second-story room that has a comfy King-size bed, it is good for up to 2 people. AC, a smart TV, free Wi-Fi, and a few games to have fun. Beach chairs, umbrellas, beach towels & snorkeling masks are provided for you to use. The fully equipped kitchenette includes a full-size fridge, microwave, induction burners, toaster, coffee maker, and more. Enjoy your morning coffee or a pre-dinner cocktail on the lanai (balcony) overlooking the pool and garden. This quiet and peaceful complex has beautiful tropical gardens with banana trees, exotic flowers, and green lawns surround. You will love to enjoy the Pool, Jacuzzi, BBQ area, and Old Hawaiian charm. You DO NOT need a car when you stay in this very convenient location. If you have a car, The free parking lot is available first come with a permit that you get from font-desk when you check in, If this lot is filled up, free overflow is also available on the street. Coin/app-operated laundry available on site. Valid ID required for check-in at Front Desk upon arrival. We provide complimentary starter essentials including paper towels, toilet paper, dish soap, laundry detergent, hand soap, and trash bags. We also have air mattress, pack and play, and high chair available for rent. It would be a five star review except for our arrival. We arrived after a long 7hour flight at 10:30pm at night to be told we did not have a room and that it would be impossible to check in without first island reality uploading us as guest in their computer system. They wouldn’t open until 8am the next morning. This apparently happened even though I had paid in full and had the receipts and an email telling me to check in at the front desk with my ID. After contemplating spending the night in our rental car and fruitlessly trying to see if another hotel had a room. (They didn’t) First island reality after hours called back around 1am and confirmed us as guest and we were given a door code. We were never offered any discount or compensation for this and the front desk and first island reality blamed each other for the problem. Double check to make sure they have you in their system. It sucks a lot to arrive jet lagged and be treated like a vagrant without a reservation.

We did enjoy our stay, with a few hiccups. Wifi cut out after two days ,not really a kitchen to cook in with just a small hot plate, clean and comfortable.

Small but functional room with a comfortable bed. Great neighbourhood for walking with lots of shops and restaurants nearby. Lots of charm, free on-site parking if you’re quick but also free street parking.

Great location, less than a minute walk to Ali'i Drive. Studio was basic, clean, and I had no issues and I liked the tiki torches scattered around the property in the evenings!

Everything went very smooth. I came here to bring my daughter to the University Of Nations/YWAM. We have stayed here at the Islander before, and have another state coming up in November here in the same unit. Speaks volumes three stays here. We really love it.

This studio located on Alii in Kona is clean,comfortable for a couple. It is nicely remodeled with plenty of storage. Beautiful garden view from spacious balcony with partial ocean view is a bonus. We enjoyed a pool in the garden and made a dinner on the barbeque. Sadly the hot tub was broken during our stay ,which we would be happy to use. There is only few parking spots there so parking can be a challenge there.

We have stayed at the Kona Islander Inn for years. We have stayed in many different units. This one is one of the best ones we have stayed in. We like the layout and their was lots of storage.

You can tell that the property is aged, but is clean and safe. The entire property could benefit from a facelift update. This was a perfect place for the solo trip I took for a continuing education seminar, but not a place that I would bring my entire family back to. Location is absolutely perfect and walking through the back gate of the property puts you on the street in the middle of everything and only steps away from the water.

Nicely renovated condo in ideal central location. We participated in Ironman and it was great to be close to the start/ finish and all events. The condo had everything we needed. We would defininitely choose to stay here again.

This is clearly a former hotel which was cut up into owner rooms. So it’s like you’re at a hotel without the one benefit of being at a hotel which is service. Aircon was broke first day so room was very hot. But the part that bugged me was the pics from the balcony overlooking the pool were not taken from the actual room. This is classic bait n switch and for a room this expensive that sucks. Parking also too limited, had to park across busy highway in not safe place

A lot of screws hanging out the restroom ceiling and the walls. Don't know if we were being watched with hidden cameras. A lot of cracks from inside the restroom. And then all of sudden they needed to do plumbing? That's so suspicious. The television was broken. We stayed the whole time without tv. A worker told me they would bring in the television after our stay is over. I wanted to speak with the owner or whom ever was in charge but I guess Christian has better things to do.

This condo is in a great convenient location with several restaurants & activities within walking. The unit is clean, with a comfortable bed & all you need for a nice stay in Kona.

The Bad - There were _a lot_ of cockroaches. We couldn't have any food in the unit or they'd attack the food very quickly. We probably killed over 10 during our stay. It got to the point where we tried no to touch anything in the kitchen out of fear they'd come darting out.
Second was the mold. I understand Kona is humid, but washing machines exist. There's really no good excuse for the bathmats and shower curtains to be in the state they were in. We didn't want to touch them.
There were none of the "nice" touches some of the other reviews describe.
