About this house rental
Located in Center Hill Lake, this lovely house for $230 per night is a great option for your next vacation. This 2040 sq ft ranch home is located on a nearly 2 acres wooded lot, in a small and quiet sub-division, on the edge of Smithville, TN. Only a 10 min. drive to Center Hill Lake. The European owners had this home fully updated with your comfort in mind. Almost everything in this home is brand new. Kick back and relax on the LARGE comfortable la-z-boy sofa in the spacious living room or enjoy meals with your family and friends at the large dinner table. Plenty of outdoor space with a large covered, partly screened-in porch including a gas grill available for your use. The home also features a backyard play-set for the little ones, picnic tables and a gas fire pit. Summer Ridge Villa will be fully decorated during the Christmas season. The closest marina (Hidden Harbor) is only 10 min. away, so no problem if you would like to bring your boat along, there is plenty of space to park it at the house. Holmes creek recreational area (6.4 miles) has a free boat ramp and is popular for those wanting to swim in the lake. Summer Ridge Villa comes with free high speed wifi internet, large flat-screen smart TVs (living room and master) and fun family games and puzzles. The home has a fully equipped kitchen as well as a washer, dryer, iron and ironing board for your use. For your convenience you’ll find hair dryers in every bathroom. All bedding and towels are provided. Have dogs? Bring them along! We are pet friendly and accept up to three dogs any size and breed for $25 a night + tax. Restaurants and shops are only a few minutes away and there are many outdoor activities in the area. We had a very pleasant stay! The house was well-equipped, clean, and plenty big enough for our family. Communication with manager/owner? was quick and easy. She was very accommodating to our needs. I would stay here again!

The house was great. The kids loved the yard and play equipment, The thermostat would not cause heat to come on. Used the fireplace to heat the house but could not regulate the temp so had to start or stop the fireplace every few hours to keep the temp under control. Hard to sleep when you are trying to keep the kids warm.

Short family gathering on our way home from vacation. Kitchen was truly amazingly stocked with just about all cooking utensils one could imagine, we cooked meals there our entire stay. Potholders was about the only item missing. House, patio, grounds were all excellent, communication was outstanding. Neighborhood was very nice and quiet. Did have a friendly cat come visit us outside. Highly recommend would stay there again in a heartbeat

We enjoyed our stay in central Tennessee. The interior house was very nice and accommodating. The outside not so much. The owner has thought of many nice additions and supplies inside the house. The outside back screened porch as unusable due to the torn screens and door. Bugs were constantly coming inside and as a renter I got tired of trying to sweep up, spray and get rid of them. The driveway has a large drop off with no safety railing on the side so be careful that you don’t accidentally step off the side and fall. The deck needs to be refinished. I ripped my arm open on a nail that was sticking up so we proceeded to try to pound several nails into the wood. Same with the kid’s play structure. It needs to be refinished for safety reasons. I believe the owner is very caring and takes care of her property the best she can. I would attribute the outside area (such as the dead bushes and fall leaves in the front yard landscaping) to the grounds keeping company. Unfortunately it rained so we weren’t able to do much outside on the property which is not the owner’s fault - just the luck of the draw. I would rent this place again but for the money you pay, I would like to see the outside get a little more attention for safety reasons and aesthetics.

The property was perfect for us. We brought a bunch of our family to town for a wedding and everyone had sufficient room and was comfortable. The only hitch was that the power went out for a few hours, but you can really only blame the power company for that. The property was clean, very clearly sanitized and well stocked. Only very minor issues were noticed like a couple pieces of counter laminate needed to be re-glued. The best compliment I can offer is that we wouldn’t hesitate to book again should the need arise.

We are from SE Iowa & wanted to be with my father for the holidays. Traveling to this area was easy for everyone. The back yard was accommodating for the kids to play & burn off energy while adults hung out on screened in porch. We visited a few local spots & the lake. The kitchen was great as the kids baked cookies & we played holiday games. Loved the layout & the sectional that fit all of us.

My husband and I, and our adult children, now live across the country. We come together every Christmas to visit with our family in the Upper Cumberland. Due to the winter storm, not everyone of our kids made this trip, but space would not have been an issue. Summer Ridge Villa was nearly perfect for a house of adults - it would be perfect for a family with lots of children with plenty of bunk beds and twin beds. We loved the large living spaces, and especially the gas fireplace as our stay was during the sub-zero temperature storm with snow and ice. The large dining areas made for plenty of space for our annual tradition of putting together a Christmas jigsaw puzzle. So many special touches truly made the house feel like we were at home - it was tastefully decorated for Christmas which made it so nice to open presents around the tree with a fire going. We loved all the soft, cozy blankets available, again since “the weather outside was frightful.” The kitchen had everything we needed (pots, pans, baking dishes, knives, spatulas, wine glasses, coffee mugs, etc). We were able to easily fix and enjoy our family favorite meals and treats, and we enjoyed the welcome basket of goodies. We will definitely keep Summer Ridge Villa in mind to stay here again when we travel to visit family next year.

We all had a wonderful stay with our family. My daughter and grandchildren live in McMinnville and this was great to be able to be so close to them with all of our family together.

We loved our stay. Plenty of room in the driveway for 2 boats, 2 trucks, and still more. The house and property are very close to Hidden Harbor Marina on Center Hill lake. 2 miles from WalMart and plenty of other shopping. Communication with the host was simple and they were very quick to respond. We will be back.

Very Satisfied
Our family traveled with friends to Tennessee for a bit of R&R plus "getting to know" Middle-East Tennessee. The property could not have been any better. It was very well appointed with what we needed to do for meals, the showers were hot and strong, the air conditioning worked well and the screened porch was where the adults spent a lot of quality time. Everything was very clean and well maintained. The only suggestion that I would make is box or stand fans for the two rooms that do not have ceiling fans.

Couldn’t have asked for a nicer property or better owner! House was beautiful, clean, comfortable, and very well equipped! From the ease of booking, check in, and check out, it was super! Notebook with all pertinent info there for reference, which included list of restaurants nearby. We tried Twisted Oak, and we’re not disappointed! Overall, fantastic experience.

We had a wonderful stay at this property. There were six adults, six kids, and one dog. We felt we had enough room and the listing was accurate. Their towels were pretty soft. Beds and bedding were good. Kitchen was well stocked and there was plenty of seating for eating and playing games.
We enjoyed a walk in the neighborhood and met some of the neighbors. They were friendly and Smithfield was welcoming. We liked eating at Twisted Oaks and Los Lobos. If you forget anything, Walmart is 5 mins away, same with restaurants or anything else.
Originally, we were going to bring three dogs, but changed it to just one. We liked that large dogs were allowed as ours is a lab. The street and neighborhood were safe for the kids and dog to run around. The kids liked the big backyard and swingset.

There's not anything that needs improvement, but if I could change something I would want a larger trash can for the kitchen, just because we did have a larger group and we felt we were changing it out all of the time. We also didn't do a lot of cooking there and ate out since our time was only three days so that could affect how often we were changing it. Two larger trash cans were provided on the porch and were easily accessible as well. We were somewhat disappointed that we couldn't have a bonfire, but it's not a deal breaker for us. Aesthetically, I would add some string lights and a porch swing or hammock chair to the porch.
We would recommend and would stay again. Thank you for being such a great host!
