Ski Area Information SKI IN/SKI OUT access to Snowbird is via novice/intermediate terrain and can be closed due to weather and/or snow conditions. Alta is a short shuttle/drive away. PARKING for one small vehicle only at Village at Sugarplum. We recommend airport transportation for additional needs. The garage will accommodate a small or standard SUV. Talk with our office for more information. NOTE: Alta Resort Shuttle runs mid-December to early April. Call our office for specific dates. SUMMER: Easy access to hiking and biking. NEARBY PROPERTIES: Village at Sugarplum #6 The Village at Sugarplum Condominiums are ski in/ski out to Snowbird. You don't need to be an expert skier but, you do need to be an intermediate skier to be able to take advantage of this access. So, how do you ski to Snowbird? The Village is located at the very end of Blackjack Road. The trail to Snowbird starts at the end of this road and is called the Condo Bypass on the Snowbird trail map. The Condo Bypass is a short run that joins up with the bottom of Whodunnit. From there it is a short distance to Peruvian Express, The Snowbird Center and Tram or you can make your way over to the Wilbere Lift or the Gad Valley (Gadzoom and Midgad Lifts). So...basically, you walk out the door to The Village at Sugarplum, walk up to the Condo Bypass trail and put on your skis. To ski back to The Village, you can take either the Peruvian Express or Tram and then follow the signs for the "Fun Run" or Chips – this is marked with blue trail markers. Follow this down to Whodunnit – this will initially be a cat track. You want to stay on the cat track when Whodunnit turns downhill and you will be back at your starting point. And how do you get to Alta? The Alta Resort Shuttle has a pick up spot right outside the door to the Village at Sugarplum Condominiums. This shuttle makes a continuous loop of the Bypass Road during daytime hours. The shuttle runs continuously during the day. It will typically take just a few minutes to get up to the Collins or Sunnyside base areas at Alta. After skiing, you can utilize this same shuttle to bring you back to the property or you can ski home from Alta via an off-piste advanced run. The Alta Resort Shuttle runs between mid December to early April only. Special Notes: As with any of the runs at Alta and Snowbird, access is based on the current conditions. When looking at a Snowbird trail map, Whodunnit is in the lower left corner.

This condo is beautifully decorated and in a great location. We enjoyed our stay very much. However I have just a few comments: 1.no place for more than one person at a time to boot up in basement. 2.Though it's nice to have a king bed in everyroom, the upstair bedrooms are small and not alot of room to maneuver especially with slanted ceilings.Same with one of the upstairs bathrooms. If you are tall it's not comfortable to use the toilet. We did have an issue with the smoke detectors as they went off in the morning when we had to interlodge. We had to disconnect it and wait for someone later in the day to come and look at it. Good thing there wasn't a fire.

Highlights of our stay: modern and well-appointed kitchen, large dining table, views, steam shower, mudroom with storage for winter/ski wear and dryer, lots of beds, stunning interior decor, comfortable gathering room. Lauralee was fabulous about answering our questions and arranging things before our stay. She is a gem! Note: Although there is a garage, we decided to fly and Lauralee hooked us up with Alpine Transportation. Alpine was the best! I was glad we left the driving to Jose who safely got us there and back. Another note; They supply salt and pepper and other spices. Also, the tap water is very good, so you don't need to being bottled water. Final note: bring extra food, like eggs, bread, pasta, cereal, milk, and fruit. You'll want to or have to eat in and people are hungry from skiing! It's delightful to prepare food in the kitchen, too.
