Probably the most inviting property I've ever had the pleasure of renting. I love the Shooting Creek area and this is by far the best place to rent for solo/couples. If you want to stay at a cozy mountain cabin, this is the place you're looking for.

This was the cutest little cottage in a secluded area not far from town. The little stone cottage was even better than the pictures showed. My husband and I enjoyed the hot tub and sitting by and listening to the noisy creek. We have already recommended this listing to friends and family who may be traveling to the area. We plan to visit again.

This was our first time and we will return. So clean, so orderly and well stocked. Sitting outside by the creek, just listening to its relaxing sound and all the little things that we noticed every time we were outside! The owners are very pleasant and thoughtful. It was a great way to celebrate our special dates! We certainly recommend this little hidden heaven. God bless.

Peaceful, tranquil, serene, absolutely breathtaking. I hesitate to go into a lot of detail because I don’t want too many others to find out about the Sone Cottage. The facility and amenities were phenomenal, and the communication with the hosts was prompt and responsive. It is the place to go for a couples remote retreat. Can’t say enough about it.

This property is perfect for those that truly want to get away from the grind and be one with nature. Tucked back on a dirt road at the base of the mountain, you’ll feel like you’re the only couple in the world. The property owners did a magnificent job with making this truly a magical place

We had a marvelous time! The cottage was perfect and very well stocked with every thing we needed! We loved using both of the firepits.The hot tub was the perfect way to finish our day after visiting several wineries in the area. We highly recommend this property.

Our time at the stone cottage was absolutely wonderful! The place is more beautiful than the pictures posted. The cottage was stocked with everything we needed! We thoroughly enjoyed the two fire pits and the hot tub. If you like wine there are several nice wineries near by. Our favorite was Living Water, but we enjoyed all of them. We will definitely be back!

This property is amazing! Waking up for coffee by the creek was the perfect way to start our day. There were so many amazing little mountain towns to explore each day then return for fire pit each night. This location provided everything we needed!

The Stone Cottage was amazing! We had such a great time and the cottage was beautiful! It was our 30th anniversary and they had a Happy Anniversary card on the counter and a small garden flag outside that said Happy Anniversary! When we opened the door of the cottage it smelled very nice and was spotless! The area around the home is beautiful and very private. We loved the hot tub! We visited Georgia and Tennessee and spent the rest of the time at the cottage, just relaxing! We never even turned on the tv. The hosts were responsive and helpful! Also, the Ingles Superstore that is nearby was amazing! I wish we had one at home!! We cannot wait to return again!!!

Relax creekside for constant soothing sounds, sit around a fire pit sipping your favorite beverage, soak in hot tub on the porch, read a book inside curled up in a recliner near the fireplace, or, retreat into comfortable bed for a great nights sleep! So many choices! Private, secluded, yet close to many adventures!!

We stayed at the Stone Cottage as our first get away from the kids in over 7 years. The cottage was immaculate and everything was better than advertised. Our hosts thought of everything we could want, from a fully stocked and ready to go fire pit, to toothpaste and toothbrushes in case we forgot. Communication was excellent and we had the direct cell number of the owners in case we had an issue (we didn't have any at all). The creek is an amazing and relaxing part of the property. 100% recommend and will visit again. This was our first Vrbo experience, and they set the bar really high for other hosts.

The Stone Cottage was just what we wanted--cozy, private, relaxing, and surrounded by nature. Kathy and Bob were great hosts and communicated with us before and during our stay, which was especially important given that there was some unexpected fiber optic work being done to the house one of the days we were there. Between the creek and the hot tub we were in heaven...we could have stayed forever! Thank you for providing such a relaxing oasis for us to disconnect from the world and reconnect with each other.

Simply perfect stay. I came here to unwind and relax from city life and could not have picked a better place. The property and house were immaculate, and Bob and Kathy provided so many nice extras, such as lots of firewood, fire starters, lighters, aluminum foil, spices, etc. The bed and furniture were super comfy. Lots of places to sit outside and enjoy the creek. We were fortunate that it was cool enough to leave the door open and the sounds of the creek could be heard throughout the cottage too. I loved the privacy, the seclusion and the sheer peacefulness, and can't wait to come back!

My husband & I stayed did for a weekend getaway. It was exactly as described. Peaceful, relaxing, away from all the noise; except the rushing water from the stream (which we enjoyed). The hot tub was great & we ventured to a local winery down the road. We’ll definitely be back in the future!!

This was the best solo vacation that my husband and I had. The Stone Cottage was AMAZING!!! We couldn’t have asked for a more better place to reconnect to each other while disconnecting from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. 5 stars I absolutely recommend if you are considering it.

This property is absolutely gorgeous. The roaring river was the best view for breakfast on the deck. The hot tub was the perfect way to end the evenings. So serene! The house was clean, well stocked, and well maintained. We will definitely be back!

This cabin is amazing. The hosts have everything you could ever think of needing already available. The stream outside is so loud and relaxing! The hot tub is uncovered but that’s not a huge issue. It’s so private without being secluded. 10/10 would come back.

My wife and I decided to make a last minute getaway to the mountains for Valentines Day and hopefully see a little snow, as was forecasted for the weekend. We booked the Stone Cottage based upon previous reviews and we could not have made a better choice! Our daughter graduated from Young Harris in 2015, and throughout her stay there as well as several stays in recent years we have rented a dozen or more properties in the Hayesville area. We have enjoyed several stays on the Hiawassee, a few on Tusquittee Creek, as well as others in the area and although we have rarely been disappointed with the properties in the Hayesville area…… the Stone Cottage now ranks as our Top Choice and we will definitely return to enjoy this magnificent property. The setting, foliage, and the cottage itself are amazing but - the rushing CREEK completes this wonderful getaway! The cottage is well equipped, very well maintained, and Bob / Kathy are top notch owners and VERY responsive. We didn’t get to see any snow for Valentines but 3 nights at the Stone Cottage made the weekend a HUGE WIN!!

Beautiful home in an ideal location within easy driving distance of the area’s recreational activities. Home is cozy, clean, and private. Running creek along the home adds an outdoorsy, romantic vibe to the location.

Such a beautiful place! Pictures online do not do it Justice! Very peaceful and relaxing. The stream right outside the door was beautiful. We were blessed with snow our first night and the property owners checked on us and alerted us that it was snowing and to drive safely. Inside of the cabin was clean and beautifully decorated. Plenty of towels and extra blankets. We did not get to use the hot tub this visit but it was warm and ready to go if we did. We have family in Hiawassee so we will definitely stay here again! Highly recommend!
