Welcome to Bluegill Cottage! This place was built in 1970 on a 0.35-acre lot, surrounded by water and nature. The cottage was recently renovated to provide a cozy environment, perfect for family mini vacations. The cottage is sitting by Sleepy Hollow Lake, offering a peaceful experience but plenty of adventure, from fishing to kayaking/boating.
Bluegill Cottage offers 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom, equipped with a king, a queen and 2 twin beds. Although small, there is plenty of wiggle room in this lakeside cottage. The place offers a big screened porch with gathering area, a big backyard with BBQ kettle grill, campfire area, and private docks by the water. Pedal boats and kayaks are available on site (no extra fees). The place also offers a full kitchen with essential supplies, bakeware, utensils and equipment. A coffee station with Keurig coffee maker.
Recently updated with office desk, chair and high speed internet for remote work. With satellite internet, the browsing and streaming is fast, however, it may not be suitable for virtual meetings.
This cottage is pet friendly. Pet fee applies per stay.
The cottage has outdoor camera surveillance for security. One is at the doorbell, pointing toward the street and entrance, the other one is outside, on top of the back porch, pointing toward the backyard.

We had an incredible time staying at this little lake house! It was beautifully decorated, was thoughtfully stocked with items we'd need during the stay, and there was so much to do here (thanks to the host) between the paddle boats, kayaks, a fire pit, fishing poles, and dart board. This little lake was perfect, with many nooks and crannies to explore on the boats, as well as lots of fish, turtles, birds, etc. The host was also very quick to answer any questions we had during our stay. We definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a fun and relaxing outdoorsy getaway!

This place was perfect!! We rented it for 2 nights to celebrate our 21st anniversary. Close proximity to Lake Livingston State Park and Livingston. We also visited the Johnsons Rock Shop in Indian Springs East of Livingston. The neighborhood is very peaceful and quite. You can hear the birds chirping in the morning, see squirrels playing and enjoy the beautiful lake view. We did not fish or build a fire as it was a drizzly weekend but we very much enjoyed the stay. The cottage has all the essentials and then some. I also got two bullseye on the dart board!! Very nice place to stay. Wr highly recommend!!!!

My family absolutely loves this place. So cozy and comfortable, just right for our family of 5. The kids love the pedal boats and kayaks and fishing right off the dock. Such a beautiful peaceful place. One of our favorite vrbos ever!
