Gorgeous location, spacious room but best of all: the staff and especially Spoons who is the go to guy when it comes to hiking, on top of that super nice and funny, what an asset! The manager Elisabeth was also very helpful and always smiling.

The room was good. We found there the most friendly hosts of the intere Norwegian trip. The breakfast was simple, but abundant and good. Spacious parking I'd you get there by car. Great view of the lake.

Overall we (family of 5) liked the hostel very much. We made a booking 10 mins before the reception closed, arrived at 1am and were still able to check in. Thanks for that. Staff is friendly and open (kudos to reception ladies, kitchen and canteen staff).

The linen and matrasses seem a bit old and worn.

Convenient location, we planned to walk up preikestolen /pulpit rock early the next morning and this was only a ~20+ min drive away. It included a great breakfast, we particularly liked making our own waffles. Everything was great for our short stay.

The location is perfect. The hotel is next to the lake where you can swim or do kayaking. The staff is super friendly. The hotel is also clean and well-organized. You get free coffee and tea at anytime since those are available at the reception. You can also cook in the shared kitchen which is well-equipped.

This hostel provides a lot of fun free activities, including soccer, volleyball and a playground area. The breakfast was very very nice. The staff was extremely helpful.

Great host (Spoon), breakfast was rich and great, tasty. Attractions around provided by hostel were very nice, not enough time to use everything they offer. I think it is better for group of friends or family then just couple but we were fine. Clean object and rather everything was ok. Big parking for cars and motorbikes with no problems (no extra fees).

Older mattresses, some garbage and dust under the beds, but in general the cleanliness was fine. These are small problems, this place is just perfect :)

The best in this hostel is the staff and surroundings. I really appreciate Spoon for his help. The lake, the beach, and the hills were so beautiful! Also, there were a lot of cozy places to make bbq or just to sit and enjoy the view. My kids found the playground awesome and I agree with them. We traveled on foot and it was easy to get to the hostel by bus. A bus stop is 500 m from the hostel. It is a quite clean hostel with clean rooms and common areas. And the atmosphere was so peaceful and free.

It was my first experience in a hostel, so I can compare it only to hotels. I think that it is overrated. Our Family room was not like the photos in the booking. It was worse and smaller. There was no place to sit normally. Only 1 chair is in the room for 4 and bunk beds are too low to sit with a straight back. There is no ventilation in the room, only in the bathroom when the light is on, so the window should be always open to have fresh air. There were no night lamps (at least anything to have not-so-bright light in the evening when kids are sleeping) in the room. I think these disadvantages could be fixed. But I will not recommend it to my friends.
