Spacious and comfortable. Great location near Main St cafes and shops. The nicest vacation rental in St. Charles.

This home was just as advertised! It was so spacious and well equipped for our family. They thought of every detail to make you feel like you were at home! Even had toys for 18 month old granddaughter to play with! Extremely clean property! So close to everything when sightseeing! Would love to come back and stay here again!

We enjoyed our stay at the Luxury House on Fifth. We were awed by the interior of the house in the incredible remodel. From the listing we couldn't tell if the rental was half a duplex, but it turned out to be a former duplex that's been covered to a single home. The resulting exposed brick and plenty of spaces made a great place to stay. Modern features and fixtures throughout that would be home on any HGTV show today. The layout also enabled our two families staying there to have enough independent space. The location was just on the edge of the nicer part of town, and still a bit of a longer walk to historic downtown. Getting to the driveway required a few navigation bumbles amidst the one-way streets. But ultimately these weren't big concerns. The house has twin, steep stairways that could be hazardous for small children, but the owner provided a baby gate. Also they provided a lot of infant amenities too for those travelling with small children like we were. Booster seat, pack-n-play, and even some toys in the living room. Our kids felt at-home, especially with the smart TV that we logged into their favorite streaming service. Everything was clean, and the check-in was easy. The owners had a great notebook for reference and great communication. St Charles was great!

Very nice blend of old and new. The house was historic but redone with beautiful modern touches.. Living areas were great! We had a great time. We would suggest shelves or dressers in each room and more towel bars for hanging towels, especially in the bedroom that does not have a closet. New pillows would also bump up the luxury factor!

Historic property in an excellent location. Easy to get to…short Uber ride to everything. Super clean and very accommodating for our group of 6. We’ll definitely stay at this place again!

We enjoyed the charm of this home! We didn't have a lot of time to explore St. Charles Historic district; however, we are already discussing when we will be back. Thank you!

Beautiful house, a few blocks from old St Charles

We stayed here to share Thanksgiving with local relatives. We are a family of 7, parents and 5 kids ages 13-22. We actually cooked and hosted dinner for our family and 8 relatives. Kitchen was perfect - had plenty of room for multiple cooks. Thankfully brought own 9x13 pans as there were none. The place was pristine and the finishes were new and well done. The stairs are steep and uneven - totally normal for a historic home, but beware for elderly. 83 yo grandpa was fine, just careful. The TV room is totally separate from the kitchen, so could benefit from a TV in the kitchen for big games. We did not explore the area as we were visiting relatives so can’t speak to that. Looks cute though. We will definitely be back!

This was a great house to spend a weekend with friends! There was lots of space to gather around the kitchen island, the dining room table, and the different seating areas. The pictures online were an accurate representation of how the home looked, but once inside the space actually felt larger than what the pictures seemed to show. Every room was very clean and lots of little extras were provided. The bathrooms were beautiful and very spacious. We enjoyed spending time cozied up by the fire. We would definitely stay in this home again!

This is a historic, spacious house that's perfect for a family to stay, or for a small group. I love the decor, and the check-in process was very easy. Easy access to main street is a huge bonus. The only thing to be aware of with this property is that parking can be an issue if you have more then 3-4 cars. However, I recommend using the gravel lot down the street as a super convenient additional parking option. Would definitely recommend it!

We loved this property so much I have already rebooked for another weekend. It fit our groups needs and the kitchen was great. I was able to cook for a large group.

Communication was fantastic. Home was very clean, plenty of linens for all 6 occupants, and great sitting areas for games or conversation! Beautiful home not far from Main St in St. Charles. Be sure to try Bella Vino, the food was delicious!
