We enjoyed hanging out on the deck and barbecuing as well as the warmth of Hawaii.
The location is right by several beaches and central to a grocery store. Across from Sunset Beach there were food trucks that had good food. So close to Waimea Falls and Waimea Beach!
The other house on the property took up the parking which caused us to have to move our car when they finally left. The driveway was steep and our car scraped coming out onto a very busy highway. There were no games to play at the house. That would be a great addition.

Perfect location and very clean
The house was in a great location! It was such an easy walk to the beach and shark cove for snorkeling. It had everything we needed to stay comfortable. The chickens were fun to look at and my son loved seeing the lizards.
Finding and getting in to the property the first time was difficult. Once we were in and had the gate opener it was easy. We used all three rooms. The bed in the front room was really uncomfortable. Even my 14 year old son couldn’t sleep on it after the first night because it was so uncomfortable. I know some people complained about road noise but honestly we didn’t really notice it.

A lovely get away in a beautiful place
The cottage had a wonderful porch with a grill we used several times - a great place to sit out and enjoy the beautiful tropical flowers. The 3 bedrooms and 2 baths were great and the a/c was always great. So nice to have a real coffee maker and the kitchen had everything we needed. The cottage sits inside a walled area where there is only one other property - the more expensive ocean front rental, but this means there is almost total privacy. Two beaches were within an easy walk along the road - the nearest, 3 Tables, can have VERY rough surf. The second, Waimea was much calmer and far better for kids. Both were beautiful.
The cottage - along with most places on the northshore - is on a VERY busy two lane road. Some times it took a while to turn into the cottage or get out. There is a grocery store within walking distance, but prices in Oahu (as with most islands) were high. We paid $7.29 for a loaf of mediocre bread.

So glad we picked to stay at Waimea Bay Cottage. It made for an ideal North Shore experience.
Beautiful, comfortable, private, secure cottage right next to lovely Three Tables beach on Oahu’s North Shore. All the mod cons with a traditional cottage feel. Bus stop, supermarket and food trucks a very short walk away. Felt like a home away from home.
On main road (it’s kind of unavoidable) so there was traffic noise. No water view but lovely garden view instead.

We went for a family wedding and loved our stay. Felt like home away from home having our cottage. .Got to see turtles m
It was ideal for us. We were 5 and my two granddaughters shared the futon. Close proximity to beaches and market. The girls would get up and go outside and have fun with the geckos. Nice closed in property. It had the necessary amenities. The greenery around is very nice.
It’s close to the road and you could hear the traffic. It was a busy time around 4th of July and road construction.

A tiny and simple cottage in a great location
Easy walk to 2 beaches and supermarket and food trucks. Onsite parking. Big fridge with fabulous icemaker.
Bedrooms with walls which were sliding partition louvre doors instead of solid walls...they aided air circulation but compromised on privacy. Security gate to property inoperable. Screen door to deck needs placement. Showers in bathtubs made it tricky to use for older people. Shower curtain not clean. Broken light globes in one of the bathrooms. Kitchen window impossible to open. One of the 3 bedrooms had a futon mattress which is very hard compared to an innerspring mattress. Only one bedside table per queen bed instead of one each side of bed despite there being room to accommodate them. The kitchen so tiny you could only have one person in it.

A great vacation home for a one week stay.
The location was excellent.
One of the bedrooms could use a king size bed.
