The Roman conquerors, who were often inspired by local toponyms to name places, would have thus fixed the name of our current commune. Limited to the south by the coastline, to the east by the wooded valley of the river Vincin and to the north by the commune of Ploëren, Arradon has an authentic geographical unity. Located west of Vannes, from which it is distant 7 kilometers, Arradon is anchored at the bottom of the Gulf of Morbihan. In the past, Arradon was essentially turned towards agriculture. It is only at the end of the XIXth century that the commune developed its situation at the edge of the Gulf. Oyster farming, and more recently, yachting and water sports have expanded the range of economic activities of the town. ## Transports - Arradon Center train station : 5 minutes by car. - Vannes-Golfe du Morbihan Airport : 20 minutes by car.
