Staff at this hotel were very nice and friendly. The room on the other hand had several issues. It was very cold at night and there was no heating. After reading reviews we went to ask the staff for a heater which helped somewhat. In the shower, half the sliding door was missing and the railing was not properly secured to the wall. If you tried to slide the door shut while showering, the door would fall out of the rail and on to you as you showered. Because the door was broken, water would get everywhere in the bathroom. The faucet in the sink was also broken and would spray water outside of the actual sink bowl. There was also no safe and no mini fridge which aren’t essential but are appreciated when travelling. Breakfast was quite mediocre compared to other similarly priced hotels in Peru. Location is about a 20 minute walk from the plaza. I would not recommend this hotel as travellers can find better for the same amount of money.

The view from the enclosed rooftop where you eat your complimentary breakfast is breathtaking!! Rooms are clean and well decorated. Staff is super friendly!! Best part was calling front desk for a taxi and it arrives within 5 minutes. Less than $2 a ride to the Plaza. Im seriously going back to this hotel.

Windows we’re taped close with packaging tape. Bathroom sink fawcett was really loose when turning it on. No shower curtain. Views are fantastic but hotel just felt like it was not being kept up. To me, definitely not a 3 star.

Staff was really friendly and willing to help. Room is clean and spacious. Location is a little far from Plaza de Armas by foot but cab fares are generally cheap.

This place is definitely affordable. If you just need a placed to crash while visiting Cusco for a day or two, need to do it on a budget and are willing to put up with a little bit then this place will work for you. On the upside all members of the staff were helpful and attentive. The bathroom was in acceptable condition. The room was cold because no central heat was not available but very warm bed coverings were provided. An electric space heater of minimum power was provided but didn't change the room temperature much. The comforter had a small stain and the linens looked like they have been washed several times. Good place if you're willing to tough it out to see the surrounding area.

Nice hotel but it was super cold in there. The heater wasn’t enough to heat the whole room. The shower ran hot water but without enough pressure. I couldn’t have stayed the whole week there.

I actually didn't stay at this hotel because they lost my reservation twice. When I arrived, it took them fifteen minutes to find my name. Because they had no available rooms, they had us stay at the R House across the street (which I highly recommend) for the first two nights. On the third night, we were supposed to stay at Imagen and had our luggage ready to be transferred. After spending all day at Machu Picchu, I was told they didn't have my reservation (again) and that they didn't know anything about my luggage. The employee stated that there was no communication concerning our situation. Once again R House came to the rescue. They had our luggage, new our situation, and placed us in the same room we had the nights before.
There are few aspects of Imagen that I can actually rate, but based on my recent experience, I would never plan on staying there again.

I arrived early in the morning and the staff is very friendly that let me check in to have some rest early in the day. The room is nice, location is okay, with an approximately 15 min walk to the historical centre. Overall, I had a nice stay here, recommend to other travellers to Cusco!

Clean and cozy, nice view on the city. Good value for price paid. Staff is very friendly but does not speak English. The breakfast is horrible, plan to eat elsewhere. Overall I would recommend though if you don't mind the brrskfast

Great staff !! We had a amazing view from our room of Cusco, being right next to a small park/chapel we saw the local color like you can't get in the main tourist plazas! The staff helped us with taxi rides, setting up our tour if Machu Pichu, nightly raids to the mini store attached to the hotel, and some great souvenirs at better prices than the town shops or street vendors! I highly recommend staying here, you won't be disappointed!!!

We stayed at 2 different hotels in Cusco, this was not the preferred. It was nice and the staff was great but the location was not ideal. You need to use a taxi to get to and from here. The attached corner store was handy. The breakfast was nice. Our Spanish is non-existent and the staff here spoke little to no English so communication was a challenge. The room was good, had a heater as it was chilly when we visited Cusco.

Had a pleasant stay here. Rooms very comfortable, hot shower any time of the day, cleanliness very good. Staff helpful with booking tours and onward trip. Great wifi. Staff let us keep our bags there whilst we went to Machu Picchu for 2 days. Our only criticism was the hotel is located quite far away from the town centre. 30-40 minute walk or 5 minutes in a taxi. Regardless this place was worth staying at for the luxury at a budget price.

The shower very narrow entrance brought the overall rating down. I could just get thru the very narrow sliding door. The staff were very accommodating and friendly though only one spoke English. They even brought me breakfast at 6:00 am to my room on my departure date. Breakfast was very so so unless you're Peruvian I guess.

The hotel is good, a brisk 20 minute walk from the historical centre. Staff very polite and helpful. Reasonable breakfast. Room had a slight smell, maybe the drains?........thought that the bed blanket could have been fresher, but sheets were fine, bathroom clean but small. No hot water in sink but fine in the shower. The staff are the best bit of this hotel. It is OK for a couple of days.
