A wood building over 100 years old is quite an experience. So many creaks and groans, almost haunted. Did not really know what to expect, but truly enjoyed seeing how they lived over 100 years ago.

This is an unusual place to stay, but staff are quite friendly. We appreciated the complementary $10 cards for the Timberline Cafe. Very creaky floors and doors and the stairs are not meant for anyone with limited mobility.

We wished we could have stayed longer and enjoyed the hotel and the surrounding town. The lobby area is so fun and the gift shop is the best in town. We appreciated the hot water/coffee/tea/chocolate service, the ice, and the use of the refrigerator/freezer very much!! The restaurant next door, Timberline, was decent - salad bar and pies!! The little coffee stand was delicious and had huckleberry ice cream!

Note that when selecting a room at the Madison Hotel, that choosing the tv and fridge option puts you in the motel portion of the property, in the back, next to an alley. The room was clean (most important), but very small and a bit rough. Parking is tight. If you're traveling in an RV, forget about it. Those use to marriott's will be disappointed, but the historic lobby is worth a look.

I is 111 years old. It has an unusual history as an inn that is so old it had one time used chamber pots. Great living room with full bison, elk, moose and deer heads. Very unusual upstairs. The front stairs looks down on office and living room with an open stairway with railing fronting the rooms as a hallway. Free coffee, cocoa and French Vanilla Cappuccino.

Cute little property that was established 111 years ago right in the heart of West Yellowstone. Conveniently located across the street from the Yellowstone Historic Museum and a 5-10 minute drive to the east entrance to the park depending on traffic. Within walking distance to the local grocery store and several restaurants options! Staff and Owner was so polite and helpful! Sarah checked us in and she’s amazing! Mr. Garrett, the owner does s’mores on Sunday evenings! It was a treat!

The location and staff of this hotel are wonderful. We got a nice discount to restaurants and gift shop. We loved the convince on location.

Nice property. Staff is a hoot except for I assume was the owners wife. We were 20 minutes early for check in and she made it clear the check in time. My Wife also spent couple hundred buck in their store. Leave the old cranky women at home. You'll stay in business.

They are nice folks, but this property is not worth the money. Our room "refresh" never happened, and the "historic" part is right as the room is flat old - understand they are convenient right outside Yellowstone, but seemed there were lots of nicer area properties for close to $300 a night.

On our 1st day, we couldn't find west entrance of yellowstone natl park (google issue)... i called Madison hotel & surprise! Macquel (hotel manager) got her father's bike & escorted our car towards the direction of tgd park. What a great gesture! Hallelujah for customer service!

Rustic cabin-like room with parking right outside the door. Restaurants, shopping, bars all within 0.3 miles. Super friendly staff!

Was rather surprised that the room had a toilet and a bathtub, but we had to go outside to use the common shower as there wasn’t a shower head in the toilet. The common shower was clean and empty most of the time though, so that was great. Staff were friendly and polite. S’mores night was a nice touch! Room was small but comfortable enough. Also really liked the drinks dispenser :)
