Location of the hostel is very good. Walkable to the Zhangjiajie National Park entrance. Overall room wasn’t that clean. The washroom had that typical smell and I saw a few stains on the bed sheets. There are only stairs but highest floor is only 5 or 6 I think. Overall it’s just a cheap acceptably clean place to stay near Zhangjiajie National Park.

The location is great if you plan on visiting the Zhangjiajie national park, it's a 3 minute walk to the entrance. The beds in this place are actually just a box spring with No mattress on top (very very uncomfortable) I was in a private room so that's what this review is based on. Lots of street noise in the morning from all the tour busses right outside. The staff is friendly and helpful (Some English) the building is a old hotel turned hostel from what I can tell. It's dated but not bad my biggest problem was the bed of rocks I had to sleep on and the busses every morning having a honking party at 5am.

The room is simple but clean. It's very close to Wulingyuan Scenic gate. The staff is cool and can speak English.

The whole hostel had a great look and feel, and is perfect for travellers who want to really explore the national park due to the location. I was there during the quiet season (winter), so unfortunately the bar/cafe in the common area wasn't open, but it looks like it would be a cool place to hang throughout the rest of the year. The rooms are all from level three upwards and there's no elevator, but once you've climbed kilometres worth of steps in the park it seems like nothing. Fellow guests were awesome and we did some travelling together. The staff were very helpful and nice, providing maps and advice. Some spoke English well, so this was also helpful. Sometimes there was the most beautiful and friendly Golden Retriever in the reception area. S/he was very cute. The room was spacious and very clean. The beds were a bit squeaky and the mattresses were VERY hard, although you could probably ask for extra bedding to make it softer. I hear firm mattresses are good for your back anyway. The hostel is slightly out of the busy part of the town, but located extremely close to one of the park entrances, about a 2 minute walk. It's also about a 10 minute walk from the bus stop which connects to the other park entrance, Zhangjiajie city/airport and other tourist places. Would stay again.

Room 8308 is quite spacious but it has a view of a brick wall, which also means there's no street noise in the morning. There was no light coming from the window. Towels and toilet paper were available in the room even though we checked in past midnight. The bathroom is quite small. There was sufficient hot water for all 3 of us to shower. No undesirable smells from the bathroom. There were quite a few stalls selling breakfast in the nearby alleys so there's no need to stick to the hotel breakfast throughout the stay. There's no elevator, but we're lucky that our room is only on level 3. Wifi was not strong enough to load FB photos or Youtube videos.
