Each room is a unique experience and it’s clear the owners had fun decorating!

This hotel was so gorgeous. We stayed in the Chamberlain Suite and it was so cool. We swam in the pool, played croquet and sat in the lounge and chatted with the bartender for hours. We absolutely loved everything about our stay and will definitely plan to come back!

The Mansion unbelievable. U got to see this place. The owners did a fabulous job restoring it to the period. Very well done. Kathy took us for a tour of the entire property. She did a great job for only being there for 2 months. We saw mostly all the rooms and guest house. Amazing how well each room is decorated. and the grounds were well kept. Gardens were impeccable and beautiful. Our room “the Icehouse” was amazing. Very comfortable and y clean. Perfect. Pool was excellent- clean.
The only minor complaint was the breakfast. We were expecting something different and exciting. But we only had 2 eggs 2 pieces of burnt dried up bacon and old potatoes. We thought we would get something like French Toast with fruit or fancy pancakes or something else besides 2 eggs and bacon.
But over all great place to have a get away. Or wedding.

Love the Inn. Stayed many times but this time was a disappointment. Our breakfast was tasteless, the waiter “Colin” was awful. He was so caught up in his own little world and forgot to wait on us. I got my own coffee and he took at least 15 minutes to take our order. Luckily I saved on his (non-existent tip😕.

The room was very large, comfortable and beautifully decorated. The grounds of the hotel are beautiful and very peaceful. The food and service at the restaurant were amazing. It was one of the best meals that my wife and I have ever had.

Great service and staff. I read the reviews and called ahead of time to make sure there was no big events happening and there wasn’t so I decided to book a night. I am glad I did. It was peaceful and very quiet. We enjoyed the afternoon tea and dinner at the Smokehouse restaurant. Breakfast was ok, not very impressive. We stayed at the Loft room. Very private. Definitely recommend.

Exactly what we were looking for. We were getting tired of the chain hotels with their plain rooms, awful breakfast offerings, and lack of character. The Antrim completely changed our view on what staying in a hotel should be about. It is not just somewhere to sleep, it should be fun, enjoyable, and memorable. The Antrim delivered. Amazing staff, beautiful grounds and outdoor activities. A little pub and impressive restaurant in the cellar round out the experience. Completely untouchable by any chain hotel. We plan on returning for their Christmas decor and will likely make the Antrim our little getaway location.

Our third stay at the Antrim was fabulous. It’s always beautiful and quiet.

Charming, elegant, comfortable. It’s a beautiful property with so many fun details, from the wallpaper in the pub space to the croquet court. Wonderful restaurant and amazing staff, too. We love it here.

The hotel has lovely grounds. The one criticism I have, which is minor, was there was no chair to sit on in our bedroom.

We booked a little cottage on the property and it was absolutely beautiful. Afternoon tea was amazing and the little English pub in the bed-and-breakfast was a wonderful way to end the evening.

Beautiful venue with amazing service and staff.

The property is beautiful and the staff is friendly. The room we stayed was large and nicely decorated but very oddly laid out. The bathroom was at one end of the room which I didn’t like. I would stay at Antrim again but if I do I I will avoid rooms in the Birnie House in the future.

The bed was like a bowl and kept us securely in the middle. The hair dryer in the room started smoking when I tried to use it.

A unique experience. well suited for small events like private weddings where a number of attendees can enjoy history and a charming venue. OK for my wife and I.

Loved the gardens and the restaurant was superb. The design and decor were outstanding. The ONLY drawback was the street noise which kept us awake most of the night. There was constant truck traffic all night long right past our window. I wish I knew the woman’s name who checked us in on 08/16, she was so professional and helpful. When we could not override the air conditioning and were freezing in our room, SHE CAME TO OUR ROOM AT 9:30 PM to fix the situation. How kind is that?

The building, grounds, and rooms are beautify but that is about the only thing that is good with this hotel. The room we stayed in was not very clean. The carpet was dirty and the bed frame had a ton of accumulated dust, just to point out some details. The breakfast menu was good but limited and plain. My largest complain is from the fact that the attached restaurant, which is very popular, didn't have any available reservations for all of the guests staying there. In fact, reservations needed to be made far in advance. There are limited dining options available nearby and the hotel staff did not provide any recommendations for places to eat so for the duration of our stay we had to go out of our way to eat. This is very inconvenient for guests who come from out of town. The amount of luxury this place offers considering its price is far too low. This hotel is simply not worth the money.

We stayed overnight for a wedding. This review only focuses on the room. We stayed in the cottage room, there were ants everywhere. Huge ants kept popping up by the windows and on the ceiling, at 1am we finally went to concierge. The worker said there was one other room available, but we couldn’t move there because he “wasn’t sure if it was cleaned”. So we were stuck with the ant infestation. Next morning the manager called and offered us a random 40 dollars?? The room cost 330 bucks and we couldn’t sleep.

The property was beautiful! Room was great. Staff was cold and unfriendly. We were told that they couldn’t accommodate us for dinner because there was a wedding. It was a Thursday night....
We felt unwelcome and in the way of the staff.

Lots of noise and people talking. Awakened at 11 pm, again at 1:40 AM, again at 3:30 AM, and again at 5:30 AM. Beautiful B&B and amenities but all the noise and loud conversations ruined the experience.

What a lovely experience we had! The Antrim has beautiful rooms! The bathroom was huge and exquisite! Our room had an extremely comfortable bed, and the furnishings were compatible with the character of the establishment. I believe it to be a “hidden gem”.

Why a lovely gem! We went hiking to the Cactocin Mountain Park (which was great for day hikes) and wanted to stay overnight at a place nearby. We wanted a nice place and when we found this, we thought it would be nice but it was nicer than we thought. It was just after Christmas so the holiday decor was still up and it they did a stellar job. So charming and warm - feels like I stepped into another era. We stayed on the 3rd floor with lower ceilings but it was charming. We didn’t eat at their restaurant as it was a 6 course meal but we will try it perhaps on another stay. Their pub was warm and inviting with a large fireplace where we enjoyed a nice glass of wine. It truly felt like a mini vacation being yet so close to our home in DC!
