Ilfracombe harbour and port, which date back to at least the 12th-century, offer quality ice cream, fish & chip and various craft shops and art galleries to enjoy plus Damien Hirst’s Verity statue which is a must see. The surrounding area has many attractions waiting to be discovered such as Cairn Woodland Nature Reserve, Hillsborough and Rapperee Cove, The Torrs, Watermouth Bay and the South West Coast Path. Then there is the lovely Fuchsia Valley, and for the family, Watermouth Castle and Theme Park. Why not take a trip to Lundy Island or enjoy coastal cruises, fishing, sea-life safaris and diving which are all available locally? Or take a trip on the Ilfracombe Princess and see seals, porpoises and sea birds nesting on the cliffs. Try your hand at sea fishing on Blue Fin or take an exhilarating tour of the amazing coastline on the Ilfracombe Sea Safari or on the Hampshire Rose, a former RNLI Lifeboat.
