About this cabin rental
Situated in Chimney Rock, this attractive cabin for $110 per night is a great option for your next break. ******SALE******* 10% off nightly price!!! The neighbor has started doing construction on a new small cabin. There will be construction noise. Rustic one bedroom, 4 room cabin in Chimney Rock. Living room, bedroom, small kitchen and an extra room with a comfortable hybrid spring futon on frame can be used for additional sleeping space. Enjoy some relaxing time away from it all! It is a short downhill walk down to Chimney Rock, Lake Lure Flowering Bridge or a very short drive (30 minute walk) to Lake Lure to fish, boat, kayak, SUP, walk or lay on the beach. Just down the road is Burntshirt winery or Hickory Nut Gorge Brewery at Chimney Rock. Also various restaurants, ice cream shop, coffee shop and touristy shops. The cabin was built in the 1940’s so it has the rustic feel but with enough amenities to make you feel at home. The kitchen has a microwave, full size refrigerator, toaster oven, dual burner hot plate, coffee maker, pots and pans and various cooking utensils.There are two screened covered porches to relax and have your coffee, enjoy meals on the back porch where the dining table has 4 chairs and catch the breeze. As the photos show the only access to the cabin is a set of fairly steep uneven stone steps. Best to arrive in daylight although stairs are lit w solar lights. ***may not be the best rental choice for those with knee, hip or balance challenges.*** We have only one parking spot mandated by the Town of Chimney Rock, no exceptions. Please reach out if you have any questions or if I can be of further service to you. 40 minutes to Asheville and all it has to offer 35 minutes to Black Mountain quaint little town w lots of shops and restaurants 13 minutes to Ingles Grocery Store in the Town of Lake Lure 6 minutes to the lake Short little walk into the town of Chimney Rock Lastly We believe in offering a welcome safe place for everyone. All race, gender, religion and beliefs are welcome in our cabin. (Just gotta be able to do stairs).

We were a strong beach-family until we set foot in this cozy home. We got so lucky to find this new happy place up in the mountains and sooo close to Chimney Rock! (literally 3 minutes!). Yes it was a last minute getaway. Our year-end little vacay. What an awesome way to top our year 2023!
Indeed quaint cozy home with an awe inspiring sunrise by Chimney Rock ,with the light warming your morning mountain chill through its front porch and breakfast area.
Nestled in the rocky mountainside, we live every detail. The natural stone steps, the winter foliage and the welcoming buddha greeting you with its happiest face!
This classic cabin has been touched with hints of modern living, thanks to Derek and his cool ideas. Furnitures and fixtures have been updated to make you comfortable and content with your stay. All basic stuff are there waiting to be enjoyed. Even your furbaby got a treat ready to be shared!
Love love the details! The open kitchen shelves, the coffee maker, the brita purifier for your water and a toaster! Of course the full size fridge and microwave; all tucked in the inviting kitchen!
We took so many pictures not just of our trip but the details too of our cabin.Kids found it cool, they actually asked to come back soon!
The bathroom was clean and well maintained. Fresh towels, hairdrier, nice well chosen toiletries.

Lovely, relaxing stay as we got out of the city for New Year’s Eve. Highlight was the short walk to the village for dinner and drinks.

Loved the little cabin. It was very cozy. Perfect for a getway. Cell reception not that great unless you are close to a window or outside on the porch but im not complaining cause i didnt want to be bothered. The host Derek was phenomenal. Thank you Derek for helping me get around. Definitely will stay there again!

We needed a last minute cabin for Thanksgiving because we were celebrating with family close by. We were extremely pleased. The location was perfect and walking distance from the town. Across the street is the river. They aren’t lying about the parking and stairs which was no issue for us but I would pay attention to that if someone in your group has mobility issues. Having both screened in porches was great for the pup. She loved looking out and sunbathing. No stove, oven or dishwasher but once again, that was not an issue for us. There was a two burner hot plate which would have been fine for us if we had needed it. We found the cabin to be very charming and we would book this again.

This cabin was super cute and cozy! Very clean and had everything we needed for an overnight stay. The stone steps up to the cabin could be an issue if you had very much to carry up with you, but that was explained in the listing and Derek emailed us prior to our stay to make sure we were aware of that, as well as making sure we knew there was only parking for one vehicle at the bottom of those steps. Would definitely stay here again if we are in the area.

Super cozy and comfy and some beautiful views of the mountain and a short walk to Chimney rock village. Definitely a great getaway for a couple, me and my partner were very happy with everything. The host was very helpful when we contacted them about questions and last minute changes. 10/10 highly recommend.

This cute little cabin is in the most perfect spot within Chimney Rock Village. Everything is within walkable distance, the area is quiet, and the bed is super comfy! Two perfect little porches for drinking coffee and wine too. The owners keep the place pristine and put out doggie treats for your furry friends. We loved our stay here. Note: The steps are a bit treacherous going up, so if you are not steady on your feet, this cabin probably isn't the best choice for you.

We really enjoyed our stay! The cabin was just as described. The owners made sure to cover every detail on their communication so we felt confident in what to expect. The cabin is small and rustic but it still felt comfortable and clean. All of the important features were updated such a newer, clean shower insert, sinks, toliet and appliances. The mattress was comfortable and the linens provided were nice. We were impressed by the little touches like: chilled, filtered water in the fridge, coffee, creamer, etc. provided. Mason jars with: protein oatmeal packets, granola bars and even dog biscuits. Our favorite part was the screened 3-season room in the back and the screened front porch. The location could not be beat! You are right off the main strip but the street is quiet. We walked into town with no problem.

The cabin was so cute and cozy. I stayed with my two children age 4 and 8. It was so clean and well stocked. Those steps are a true workout when you have to lug all of the suitcases up yourself. I did end up feeling a bit uneasy after the door lock opened and then closed on its own while my kids and I sat watching a movie. It scared them a little which led to a restless night for a mom alone with two kids. Other than that we had a wonderful time. Location was so close to fun activities. I would recommend curtains on all of the windows and doors. It might help with the creepy darkness lol.

This was exactly what we needed. So close to Chimney Rock Village and Lake Lure, perfect middle. The place was beautiful and had everything we need. Hosts were always very prompt in responding to us and we loved staying here! We want to come back for sure!

This romantic gem of a cottage is peaceful and tucked away, yet conveniently within walking distance of all the great shops and points of attractions that Chimney Rock Village has to offer. My partner and I loved the ambiance of the cabin and also by how much attention to detail was displayed throughout its layout. From the well stocked kitchen cabinets to how comfortable the pilllows on our bed were our host Derek made certain we wouldn’t need for anything. Great memories were made here.

As soon as we arrived, I knew that I would actually review this property (I always plan on doing this, but hardly ever get round to it). I just really want to tell people how absolutely magical this little place is - honestly, the pictures do NOT do it justice (even though the pictures are very nice, or else I wouldn't have booked it!). I felt so at home right away and honestly didn't want to leave! We spent most of our waking hours out on the screened in porch, where you basically face a wall of green - I could have spent several days there without ever leaving the place! But the location is too good to not go places - you can literally walk everywhere, Chimney Rock State Park, Chimney Rock restaurants, even to lake Lure - we didn't move the car the entire three days!! Oh and speaking of cars, there is a designated parking spot that comes with it (and trust me, you want taht in Chimney Rock, that place gets very busy and doesn't offer a lot of parking!!). So, stock up on food and drink so you do'nt have to drive anywhere while you're there and do yourselves a favor and book this little piece of heaven!! Oh, and also, last but not least - the owner is extremely responsive and a joy to work with!!! a 10/10 experience for us (and I do'nt say that lightly :) )

We enjoyed our stay in this little cabin. Walkable to Chimney Rock downtown: restaurants and shops. Friendly neighbors. Small kitchen but we found everything we needed. Small but clean and cute. We had 4 ladies staying in there.

The stone steps up to the cabin are as described, not for the faint of heart. Cabin is small but works fine for short stay. Screened porch off the kitchen is great.
Owner was very easy to contact and easy to work with.
Cell phone reception is very poor in area. I was able to hook my phone to the cabin wi-fi and that was very effective. Or if you are smart, just turn the phone off.

1st thing I’ll do when I get home is makes sure my cleaning skills are on par with Derek’s. I cannot enough about the cabins cleanliness, but every little touch is another nice extra: the bath towels, shower items, coffee, even dog treats and extra bags for my traveling pooch buddy. I spent 10 days in the cabin had an outstanding time. I could go on about the screened in porch and the convenience of being walking distance to Chimney Rock and more. This was truly one of the best places I've had the chance to stay and be blown away by the owners attention in every way. Thank you again, Derek

House was perfect for our small group and very comfortable. Kitchen was nicely stocked with essential items, including treats a d poop bags for the dogs! The stairs are quite an adventure, but no deterrent from this comfy cabin in the perfect location. We enjoyed hanging out with the locals enjoying music, food, and brews. We would definitely book again!

This cabin was the perfect spot for a couple’s getaway to the mountains and lake. We loved the screened in patio and were happily surprised that we were walking distance to the restaurants and shops downtown! That was very convenient as parking can be crowded downtown at times. The neighborhood was quiet and private and you had the ability to unplug or to go spend the day on the water. Loved this spot!

We loved this beautiful cabin and had a great time. They had thoughtful additions like fresh fruit and coffee with creamer and sugar. Plenty of toilet paper and the shower was fully stocked with toiletries! The mattresses were very comfortable and firm and the linens were pretty and soft. An overall wonderful, clean place to stay in Lake Lure.

The location of this property was perfect for a wedding at Lake Lure! It is only minutes from Lake Lure and Chimney Rock. Its also about 40 minutes from Asheville with a beautiful drive. The unit was incredibly clean. Props to whomever they use! As advertised, there is only one parking spot. However, its a small one spot. Our pick up stuck out a bit into the road, so bring a smaller car if you're able. Thankfully, the traffic in the neighborhood is very minimal, so it wasn't a problem for us. The screened in porch and deck are wonderful! I think I spent more time on them than I did inside the rental! The screen doors even have high placed locks for small kids and dogs. We really enjoyed our stay, and could only come up with 2 issues for the whole week we were there. The mattress is very firm, which if that's your preference, awesome. It just isnt ours, so we slept on the futon. The second is the lack of blinds/curtains in the livingroom, kitchen, and bathroom. Most of the windows are within direct view of a neighboring house. The bathroom window at night actually broadcasts the shower to a few houses. All in all, we had a great time, and would probably return if we came back to town! Thanks Derek!

Had a nice comfortable stay in the cabin. Loved the decor, and the beautiful view of Chimney Rock, very conveniently located right in the little town. The only issue we had was with our big pieces of luggage and the rain, the stone stairs outside were tricky.

Very cute little cottage! Lots of stairs leading up to the property but that is clearly stated in the description and the owner reached out to make sure we were aware also. Everything we needed plus more was available when we arrived. Great covered and screened in porch for relaxing in the evening. Would totally stay here again!

Location was key - so close to downtown and the park. We loved our morning walks to town and the flowering bridge. The cabin was perfect and equipped with everything we needed. Great porches to sit and relax and listen to the river.

Small but cozy and great location, able to walk to chimney rock which is a great little town and has something for just about everyone. The accommodations and property manager were very prompt in any communication that was needed and offered to be available at any time if we needed them. Overall a great little getaway.
