Comfortable, clean rooms. Cute pool area. Kittens!
We found out some of the hotels in the town center will not rent out to foreigners and will ask you to cancel your reservation saying they don't have rooms. Book Catba hostel so you don't have to worry about being rejected on arrival!
It's a 40 minute walk uphill from the town center, and taxis are expensive and hard to find (no Grab here). Make sure you check your emails from the hostel for instructions on how to get around!
Staff were a bit slow to check in and check out, but they were friendly, spoke some english and can also help you book tours!

The rooms were very clean and very nice for a hostel!
We didn't check the booking email that mentioned that the hostel provides shuttle services if you message them on WhatsApp and ended up paying high prices for taxis. Our mistake. Check your emails carefully!

Staff was super friendly and helpful! The vibes from all the travellers were good. Cocktails were amazing. The room itself was great for the price
Not just here, seems to be all south east Asia. But hotels don’t provide bath mats or face cloths.
