First off - Communication with host was very good. Second - I am not one whine and complain about stuff, so what I am going to share is legit! Now, here goes - The house has potential but needs some serious TLC!! The host does not live in the house or even in the area and rarely is at the house, which is a large part of the problem. The host contracts/pays for a cleaning service and they are NOT good!! Upon arrival - the main floor (living room, kitchen, dining area) smelled horrible. Later discovered the source…. The area rug in the living room was soaked with dog urine (not just a recent doggy accident). It was disgusting! After contacting the host - “WE” removed the large rug outside. Went and bought cleaning supplies for the floor and aerosol sprays. Found 2 live, large roaches as the week went along. Dog hair was under furniture (dressers, beds, etc) and even found a pile of dog food under a dresser and 3 feminine products! Hot tub had no steps to get in and out so that was a challenge as we had to stand on a plastic chair to get in and out (obviously NOT safe). The handrail going into the pool was very loose (you almost didn’t want to hold onto it). The grill is a SMALL charcoal grill - not propane. I was given $20 dollars for cleaning supplies from the host for my “trouble.”

LOVE this place!! Central to all of the Outer Banks. Proximity to the beach is unbelievable..."1" minute walk to the beach ("2" if you have to wait for cars to pass). Rooms, TV, pool, hot tub, laundry, baths all as you would want for your relaxing family vacation. Pet friendly. Gas station, convenience store right across the street, Dairy Queen walking distance from house. Bike rental and souvenir shop around the corner. So many restaurants within a short drive (check out Snow Birds down VDT). We are already looking at dates for next year...

Loved this house for our family vacation. Had plenty of space for everyone to gather together for activities and meals while also having enough rooms for anyone who wanted quiet time. The location to the beach was the best part at around a two min walk. The host was also responded quickly to any questions I had. Would highly recommend this home.

Excellent place to stay for our family get together. All enjoyed with lots of room for all 14 of us.

The location is great and house is in good condition. We loved our stay and enjoyed the house. Certain essential supplies are not provided such as toilet roll papers, hand washing soaps, body washing soaps, and kitchen soap. I understand that they cannot refill toilet papers but atleast provide one toilet paper in each bathroom. Also, the beds were not made . The sheets were clean, folded but not spread on the bed.

Very nice place and easy access to the beach

The house itself was beautiful and the location was perfect! The host was very quick to respond and reached out as soon as we arrived to let us know of any concerns and to have a great time. However when we arrived there was no hand soap, no hand towels, no toilet paper. So we were not able to go to the bathroom. There are also no wash clothes. We barely had enough bath towels and they were not large enough to cover an adult. No tissues or paper towels. No laundry detergent, no dish soap, no dish towels, no hot hand to remove things from the oven. With no dish towel and no hand towels there was no way to remove things from the oven. The coffee maker had no pot. When we reached out we were told to just use whatever. The bunk beds on the second floor are unstable. The top bunk is not able to be slept in. We also found some things dirty. Specifically there was a large hair ball in the king bedroom. The floor on the first floor was also not swept. There was sand everywhere. We would have cleaned this ourselves but there was not broom or vacuum. With some quick changes this place could be a great getaway!

This was a really great beach house overall with plenty of beds for a large group and a great big room with kitchen for gathering on the top floor. The property had a pool and a jacuzzi and multiple streaming services on the TV. Plus it was literally a block from the beach. Because it’s pretty new rental property, it wasn’t quite as well stocked as some other places we’ve stayed but we would definitely stay there again.
