About this house rental

Located in Overy Road, this attractive house for $1,449 per night is a fantastic choice for your next trip. A gloriously elegant and beautifully furnished period property discreetly tucked away on the edge of North Norfolk's most popular and well-known village of Burnham Market. With four well proportioned receptions rooms, six bedrooms and four bathrooms as well as off private road parking for four cars and a mature, generous-sized enclosed walled garden, this has to be one of the most sought after properties in the North Norfolk. Perfect for larger families and groups of friends to share some quality time away together in comfort and style. With reputedly the largest private garden in the village, this Victorian family home really gives nothing away when viewed from the village road, but once you access the house from the back garden gate you enter a magical, rather rarified world that encloses this substantial property. The Gardens is a real beauty both inside and out, you will be absolutely charmed from the moment you step inside. Entering the house from the back door, you walk into a spacious farmhouse style kitchen with original pamment tiled floor, and cream painted units with granite worktops. The kitchen is very well equipped and just made for those who love to cook up some delicious fare for everyone to enjoy and share with a good bottle or three of wine - all available to buy within the village, where there's an excellent choice of local produce too. In the adjoining dining room, a long table runs almost the full length and cries out for sociable get-togethers that might well carry on late into the night, or stretch over a lazy afternoon and, with a wood burning stove to light, you can really ramp up an atmosphere of congeniality when there is a chill in the air. When it's time to relax and retire to a more comfortable seat, you have a choice of three reception rooms in which to settle down, either in front of the television, with a good book or perhaps play a competitive game or two, allowing everyone to spread out and do whatever they wish. You could opt for the light and airy double aspect garden room just off the kitchen. With stripped floorboards and plenty of comfortable seating set around a wall-mounted television, this is a pleasant day time room. There's also a table and chairs where you could perhaps have a game of cards, or flick through the weekend papers with a cup of coffee. Otherwise, take yourself off to the snug/television room, a quiet hideaway, perfect for snuggling up and catching the latest series on Netflix. And lastly, but certainly not least, a wonderful drawing room where a bay window seat overlooks the garden, and velvet sofas invite you to relax beside the open fire. When the time comes to go to bed, there are two bedrooms on the ground floor, ideal for anyone who might struggle with using the stairs; a lovely king-size bedroom that has double doors into the garden to open on warm days and a wood burning stove to keep you extra cosy when the night's draw in, and a twin-bedded room. Both rooms share a shower room which sits between the two. Upstairs on the first floor are four further beautifully presented bedrooms (three-king size and one twin) and three very well appointed, spacious bathrooms, one of which is en-suite to the master bedroom. The Gardens presents a superb base for both staying local and exploring further afield. It has shops right on the doorstep and it is only a few minutes walk to the picturesque village green which not only has an interesting selection of independent shops, boutiques and galleries to browse, but also some fabulous restaurants, cafes and pubs to tempt your taste buds. The coast and beaches at Brancaster and Burnham Overy are the nearest and just down the road; both are walkable for people who can, and like, to stretch their legs. If you don't want to drive, you can always catch the Coasthopper bus service, which runs all along the coast from Hunstanton to Cromer, and stops in the village on a regular basis. The Gardens is also available for smaller groups of up to six guests The Gardens 6. Additional Information: Two well behaved dogs welcome (small additional charge).
