My family and I rented this place for the weekend because we were attending a family reunion at Lake Oconee. The online pictures were stunning and the property looked very spacious. When we arrived, it was a different story. First, the property had an ant problem. Despite parking our cars in several different locations, we could not avoid the ants. So much so that they were in the car. There were also ants inside the rental. We avoided sitting on the white sectional because we kept having to brush ants off of us. The house was much smaller than it appeared. The downstairs bathroom door would not lock or even close tight for that matter, so someone had to always stand guard when one of us was using the bathroom. The bedroom door one the first bedroom scrubbed the floor so badly that it would wake the entire house when someone went in and out of the bedroom at night (I get up frequently to use the restroom at night). This was due to the door not being leveled. Also, because it was not leveled, we had to use a door stop to keep it open during the day. The steps leading to the back yard are in disrepair. We had problems with Palmetto bugs because there were gaps under the doors leading to the outside. We also believe that where the spiders were entering as well. The front door is rotting around the bottom, and you have to pull the door really tight and hold it to make sure it closes. Overall, we will not stay there again.

I booked this property 3 months in advance and was called the day of check in to say that the property was overbooked and another family was in the house so after telling the owner that we had family coming in from out of town,he made the other people leave( didn't care about that family neither) said I could check in but cleaner couldn't come until later,well she showed up 15 minutes after we got to property and dropped off clean towels and bedding and said that she didn't have time to clean and make beds that this wasn't the first time the place was overbooked so she left.the grass in the yard ( weeds) were head high the grille was rusted out and grate was broke( not usable) .The dock looks like it's about to fall in and shakes.i sent the owner numerous pictures of property and told him about the cleaner and said he would refund some of my money.After speaking to the cleaner who didn't want to do her job,she said that I was highly intoxicated( got there 15 minutes before her,still unloading the car)and she didn't feel comfortable and left,biggest lie I ever heard and he believed it and his wife started making excuse after excuse to not give us any money back,she said that she didn't know I was having a birthday party for my daughter and that wasn't allowed but yet I have all the messages of me asking her this prior to booking and her saying no problem and we have plenty of parking.Bottom line is these owners haven't seen this property in years and rely on unreliable help.

My husband and I travel to the Millidgeville area every year. This year our adult children met us there to spend a few days as a family. It was absolutely perfect! The house is beautiful! The lake view is gorgeous. Having dinner on the porch under the trees was magical!

When we checked in all the patios were covered in pine needles and leaves. The back balcony steps were very dark and dangerous at night due to all but 2 lights not working. The shower head in the bathroom was about to fall off.

The sunroom and adjoining king size bed room perfect for my son and a couple of buddies.
