Situated in Nova Scotia, this charming farm stay for $300 per night is a fantastic choice for your next trip. Enjoy your stay at our fully renovated Farmhouse situated on 3 acres. Spacious, garden covered and beautiful shady trees line the property, leading you down to a beautiful view of where river meets ocean. Next to the rustic barn with the tin roof, you will often be met with eagles as they come to sit on their perch overlooking the water. The house was fully renovated in Spring of 2022 and was renewed to much its original beauty. Boasting open beam ceilings and original plank floors, the Little Dutch House (original owners came over from the Netherlands in 1953) is ready to show off all of the updates to those looking to have a relaxing vacation on the Northumberland Shore. 5 bedrooms include 2 king beds, 1 queen and 2 doubles. Full bathroom is completely updated. Laundry on site. Pets welcome with pre-approval upon discussion. Guests will be provided with a full brochure on what to see and do while in the area. It was a great place to stay at with my family. There were 10 of us that stayed and the size of the house was great. 2 full bathrooms would have been better for sure. Dawn was amazing and very helpful and thoughtful ❤️ i would definitely come back

The home was clean and nicely decorated. The beds were comfortable and everything very spacious to accommodate family and visitors while were were in town for a funeral.

This house takes you back to a time when things were simpler and nature closer. Our kids were curious to discover old objects and learn how life used to be in our grandparents time. Every detail of the decor is meant to make you feel welcome and pampered. Thank you!

We really loved our stay at this farmhouse in Pictou. The property is beautiful and the house was well stocked with everything we needed. It’s a great home base close to all the nearby beaches and the host was a great communicator. Our family is hoping to stay again in the near future, highly recommend.

The Little Dutch House is charming, airy and spacious and situated on a lovely large landscaped property. The house was generously outfitted with kitchen essentials, books, games and toys for children. Dawn and Jason are gracious, accommodating hosts.

We had a lovely family vacation at the Little Dutch House! It was incredible. The decor and style of the home was stunning. Can’t wait to show off the pictures. It accommodates a large group without anyone having to bring an air mattress or sleep on a couch. We will definitely be coming back!

This older farmhouse is as beautifully redone while still retaining its classic charm. A great location along the water with a variety of outdoor seating. The host was friendly and very responsive to any questions we had. I would highly recommend it for adults or a family.

Dawn and Jason have done an amazing VRBO rental. In less than a year, they have made a family home that they purchased, a perfect haven to visit. We were so comfortable, even our Lemon Beagle, Gypsy was delighted. I am always in appreciation of people who give a home like this, a new lease on life! So tastefully done too!

Just home from staying at the farmhouse and we had a wonderful time. We were a large group of 40 year old women and this cottage more than met our needs-comfortable beds, good kitchen facilities/supplies and enough space for sitting around the table and in the living room. The host, Dawn, was great and easy to communicate with! Highly recommend this spot for a getaway for a large family or friend group!!

The hard work, care and attention that Dawn and Jason have put into the Little Dutch House is apparent in every room. The antiques and the modern touches work well together to create a very comfortable home. The house is spacious and all 5 bedrooms are beautifully decorated. The king-size bed we used was comfortable and had top quality linens. The kitchen is well-equipped with everything you will need to enjoy your stay. One of the highlights of our stay was definitely the outdoor space. It is very relaxing with lovely water views and is great for star gazing at night. Dawn was very responsive and communications were a breeze.

There wasn't anything that ourselves and our friends disliked. View was nice, beds was really comfy, the whole experience was amazing! In given time we will return. It was just like a farmhouse was supposed to be. The owner was super nice. Great place to entertain and mingle with friends. Hats off to the owners!

The "Little Dutch House" was everything and more. Communition with Dawn was incredible, any question we had she answered right away. Great living space, kitchen was fully equiped and bedrooms were a good size and very comfortable. The outdoor space was amazing, lots of room for games, had a fire pit and a "pet" eagle that was beautiful to watch along the waterfront. We were all so impressed that we already booked for next year!

What a lovely farmhouse on a large, treed lot for privacy. Spacious, pretty and well equipped kitchen to prepare and eat family dinners. Large family room with a couple of areas to lounge. which was an added bonus.. The fire pit and grassy area on the water's edge was great for after dinner fun and conversation. My family had a wonderful week. I am hoping our schedules allow us to return next year!

We had a wonderful time staying at this farmhouse. The communication with Dawn was wonderful from the start and she made sure to deal and respond quickly to our many questions and requests! We even asked if they had a BBQ and they got one in order to help accommodate our stay! The location and landscape are outstanding here. The views of the ocean were stunning, and the property itself has much to offer with plenty of place to play games, find some apples, watch the beautiful eagles soar, and let those dog zoomies out. Finally the house itself is really beautiful - it offers a lot of space and rooms, comfortable beds, a very well equipped kitchen, and a great living space overall. We felt right at home here. Do not hesitate to book this space!!

The place was perfect! Right from the front door, you felt right at home. So bright, clean and welcoming! Plenty of space for everyone, inside and out. Special touches let you know, much thought went into preparing the home for whoever comes. Spent plenty of time outside enjoying being together in the sunshine, (plenty of grass to play frisbee, badminton or throw the ball for the dog! That was a plus! ). The view of the water was beautiful and the eagle that showed up for everyone to see. Overall our stay was the best! Would come again and stay longer next time.

Beautiful spacious property with lots of room and wildlife (the eagle and deer visit daily!) Our host was so kind and very helpful and attentive:) We had two families of 4 stay here with enough room for us all. Gorgeous morning coffee views. The interior was a beautiful modern take on an old farm feel. We would stay again in a heartbeat!
