Beautifully decorated, lovely view out from the deck (and after dark the trees were lit up), lovely couch with a foot rest to relax and enjoy the wines from local vineyards and cheese from local deli. Bed was super comfortable and lovely and cosy with heating at just the right temperature.

Wasn't so keen on the 'cottage' being attached to the main house but we did not see nor hear anyone in the main house, so actually it was all fine and not a problem.

The cottage is located two minute drive from Healesville with a variety of cafes, restaurants, RSL and pub. It is also close to Healesville wildlife sanctuary and approx 20 mins drive from a number of wineries and other attractions ie Tarrawarra Art Gallery, Allowyn Gardens, and Chocolaterie. The cottage is beautifully furnished. We stayed for a week in May so the weather was cold and sometimes wet. The cottage was warm with a very comfortable bed. There was a gorgeous view, from a very large deck, over the hills and autumn trees, even the King Parrots came to visit. There is a BBQ on the deck and a kitchenette with Microwave, Kettle, Netspresso and toaster, and other kitchen utensils, plates etc. There is no cooktop or oven. However, this did not matter as there is such a variety of coffee shops to chose from for breakfast, lunch or dinner. It was easy to get access. The manager was very friendly and helpful.

I was advised by a local tour company to book return taxis or wine tours as there are very few taxi services in Healesville and they prefer to do long trips rather than local ones. We had a hire car so this was not a problem for us.

We only stayed one night but we had a lovely stay. Very cosy and comfortable. Great location with a big patio to enjoy.
