One of the top rated 5 bedroom, 3 bathroom properties in the Blue Mountain/Thornbury area!! A 5 bedroom, 3 bathroom year round accessible chalet located on the Bruce Trail. Nearby attractions include many of Georgian Bay's beautiful beaches, plenty of waterfalls, Blue Mountain and all its amenities (20 minutes to our east), the Walters Falls Inn, Tobermory and Bruce National Park, and so much more. The chalet includes a large eat-in kitchen, a bar area downstairs, a large soaker tub in the master bath, a beautiful wood burning fire place for those cozy winter nights, and a comfortable sun porch. There is also a games room including a pool table, fooseball and shuffleboard table, hundreds of movies, and tons of games to choose from, and an exercise area with weights and a club quality aerobic equipment including elliptical, treadmill, and recumbent bike.. Awesome outdoor fire pit as well. Right outside the back door is the entrance to the Bruce Trail. Choose either pathway and stumble upon some of nature's greatest gifts. With 20 acres of land, this chalet boasts all that is needed for a wonderful, much deserved getaway. If you are into geocaching (www.geocaching.com) we have one on the trail that is a delight for kids. A short drive away are some spectacular water falls in Eugenia (15 minutes), Owen Sound (20 minutes) or a great beach for kids, Christie Beach (15 minutes) or one of Ontario's biggest beaches, Sauble Beach (40 minutes). Everything you need to enjoy a relaxing vacation is provided. A well stocked kitchen, towels and linens are provided. In the warmer months, we have a BBQ as well. Just bring the food you need for the weekend and you are all set! Please note that the chalet does not have air conditioning for the summer months, however, we have spent many hot August July and August nights there and the temperature cools nicely and the sleeping conditions are excellent. Absolutely no smoking in the chalet. Well trained dogs are welcome. Please take a look at our reviews, nothing but high praise for this beautiful property.

Our stay was amazing , the chalet is large enough for families to spend time together , my children and grandkids came for Easter weekend , the games room was a big hit for our grandkids and adults to enjoy. The kitchen is well equipped and there is a beautiful deck . We had a family of deer come early morning and every evening , always fun to see . Every day we walked the trails to Rocklyn creek we could see trout spawning up stream , the walk is stunning , this place is for nature lovers . Very private . The Chalet was everything and more. We are planning to go back :) Thank you to the hosts !

Loved our stay at this chalet -- it was just as advertised with plenty of room for our large party of three families on a weekend ski vacation. Games room was a huge hit with the kids while the adults enjoyed the large main floor with well equipped kitchen, cozy fire place, and a ton of board games. Would definitely go back!

The location and setting is beautiful. The layout was perfect for our group (bedrooms on all 3 floors) and the games room was an added bonus/highlight! The host was also very responsive.

Jeff is clear and responsive. process wise for checkin/out was very easy. the property itself was perfect. A short family getaway and the kids loved it, the games/foos/shuffleboard were all a hit. the firepit and surrounding trees were just perfect. the house was well stocked with cooking supplies and we had a great time away from city lights. the property is very clean and location was far enough from action and close enough if you wanted a day at Blue Mountain, or Beach or elsewhere. hope to be here again! just a perfect home.

This property is in such a wonderful place. It was big enough for several generations to come together. Great hiking, close to beaches and small communities yet isolated enough for privacy. Star gazing at night time was such an amazing and beautiful experience. Our grandchildren and sons enjoyed the sports and activity basement and we had many competitive shuffleboard tournaments! Something everyone enjoyed from young to old was of course S’mores at the campfire every night. Thanks Jeff for giving us the opportunity to make lasting memories.

Large house on a huge property with plenty of privacy. Great hiking right off the property. Sleeps alot of people but many bunk beds so a little comfortable for large adult men to sleep on. (Beds too short). Excellent communication with host at all times. Very well stocked with everything you may need. Plenty of games, puzzles, exercise equipment, pool table , ping pong, shuffleboard to keep everyone busy on those rainy days of which we had two. Highly recommend this property.

We had used this property previously for a summer family gathering and this time was for a reunion of High School Buddies. In both instances, expectations were exceeded... lots of varied indoor and outdoor activities or simply communing with nature. Highly recommended for all ages and purposes.

We had an amazing extended Family Day weekend! We snowshoed on the Bruce Trail, went cross-country skiing and sledding on the extensive property, and downhill skiing at Blue. Evenings were spent in front of the fire or down in the games room. The chalet is well laid out, comfortable and clean. The kitchen is well stocked with lots of counter space. Jeff was very responsive to any questions we had. We loved every minute of our stay and definitely want to return! :)

We brought our children and grandchildren for the weekend. The kids are 9,8 7,7,3 and 11/2. The house has lots of room and beds for everyone. The kitchen is stocked with many appliances. A couple waffle makers, one of them makes 4, popcorn popper, crockpot roast pans. The only thing there wasn't alot of for all of us was utensils but wasn't a big deal to wash them. We intended to go tubing at Blue Mountain but ended up staying and enjoying everything at the house. The owner was kind enough to let us use their tobaggans on the hills out back. Everyone loved the shuffle board and pool table and the tons of board games. Just an FYI it was -16 when we were there and the basement was a little chilly might want to bring slippers. Everyone had a great weekend and would definitely recommend.

I was looking for a space in the middle of nowhere that allowed me to bring my team for a weekend of team building and professional development. This had a great games room in the basement, nice big rooms for our large group and lots of individual beds which were all important to me. The fact that it backs on to the Bruce Trail is great! Love this spot! Perfect for what we needed it for.

My family and I (9 of us - siblings, cousins, and spouses) stayed very comfortably at the chalet for four nights. We loved how easy it was to check-in, communicate with the hosts, and we loved that we were sent a PDF on what to expect, bring, etc... beforehand. We loved the house itself - the games room, the bedroom, the huge backyard with the bonfire, and access to BBQ. We were able to do activities together but also we were able to have our relaxing times separately which we loved because of how spacious and well-designed the home is. We also loved the location as it was easy to travel to nearby attractions such as canoeing and the scenic caves.

Went there with my daughter and her husband and their 2 kids ( aged 2 and 5) and my son and his wife with their 4 children (aged 2 months to 12 years old) and there was plenty of room for all of us and for each family to sleep in their separate areas. Place is very spacious and clean and nice big yard and bonfire pit and trails to walk in the wooded area just off the property. We went to a little beach called Christie Beach which is about 20 minutes or so away it was a very beautiful beach and quaint to enjoy the afternoon. I would recommend this for family or friends who are looking for a place to get away!

A great place to stay for a larger group. Very clean and they are equipped with many games and entertainment. Beautiful deck and grounds to relax outside. It was about 15-20 minute drive to the water/beach, which was a little far for our preference. But overall very happy to stay there!

For those looking for a peaceful country getaway, but have outgrown camping, this is ideal. A well-stocked kitchen, games-room, books, movies. An entertainment bonanza on the inside. And then there is the deck, the fire pit, and hiking on the Bruce Trail from the backyard. Perfect.

We stayed four nights with a group of 12 friends. There are five bedrooms so one couple had to sleep on an air mattress. If you had little kids definitely room for 12 to sleep. We knew the situation going in. Having three full bathrooms was awesome. Jeff was great to deal with and very responsive. There was one minor issue, but we muddled through. Lots to do in the area. Right on the Bruce trail. Cottage has a great games room for rainy days. Would definitely recommend this place

Great stay for our group of 6 adults. Plenty of activities, plenty of space, great location. Easy drive away from big cities, no neighbours nearby. The trail was beautiful. The location was ideal. Pictures are exactly as shown, communication with the host was quick and easy. Instructions were clear and simple to follow. Thank you for opening up your chalet to us and for the great memories made.

Our family loved our time here. The hiking with our dogs was definitely a highlight. All the space and privacy for games and dogs was just perfect for us. Also lots of indoor space and games. Loved the shuffleboard! Thanks Jeff
