Our large and cozy house can comfortably accommodate any large group, ensuring everyone can enjoy the best of what Waco has to offer. PETS ALLOWED We love those furry bundles of joy. We allow maximum 2 pets with a $100.00 NONREFUNDABLE pet fee. NO SMOKING INSIDE Please refrain from smoking inside the home or within 25 feet of any exterior doors. Any smoking evidence will result in a $500.00 fee for oder removal, including duct cleaning, furniture, bedspread and carpet cleaning. NO PARTIES/EVENTS We kindly ask you to treat our home as your own to preserve its pristine condition for future guests and your return visits. City of Waco has an ordinance that does not allow events or parties at our short term rentals. Violation can cause us to lose our permit to operate. Thank you for understanding and complying with this ordinance. When you stay at the Lyle House, the entire home is yours during your stay. You will be sent a digital welcome link with all area information 7 days before your stay. We are local and will be available for you during your stay. Kick back and enjoy your favorite shows with local channels and Netflix streaming. We believe that pets are family, too, so bring your furry friends along! Take your dog for a walk in the beautiful park just one block away. For our smaller guests, we offer a play-n-stay and high chair upon request, ensuring everyone feels at home. Relax and soak up the outdoors on our covered patio while you grill a delicious meal for your friends or gather around the fire pit on chilly evenings for great conversation and unforgettable moments. Our vast, private, and fully fenced backyard is a sanctuary during nice weather, offering the perfect space to unwind and enjoy your stay. We happily welcome two well-behaved and vaccinated dogs to join you, with specific breed and weight restrictions applying. THe Lyle House is self check in after 3:00 pm on the day of your arrival. We will emall you a code for access on the day of your arrival. At The Lyle House, you'll find an array of amenities to make your stay exceptional. This spacious 1837 sq. ft. home features 3 bedrooms, a sunroom with a queen sleeper sofa, and a flat-screen casting TV. With 2 queen beds, 2 twin beds, and the sleeper sofa, we comfortably accommodate up to 8 guests. You'll have access to 2 full bathrooms, one in the hallway and another Jack and Jill style between two bedrooms. This house is old and a little dated, but it is very roomy and comfortable! The kitchen could use another light or two, but it is large and very well appointed with plenty of dishes, utensils and cookware. We had no problem cooking a meal and enjoyed working in the kitchen. The beds are super comfy and the showers were great! The backyard is very big with cornhole set up and a nice firepit. There was no wood and we forgot to buy some, but it looked like a great setup. It was also close to downtown Waco and the Magnolia Silo district so that's a definite plus! We also enjoyed the Homestead Craft stores, which were maybe a 20 minute drive! Definitely a great choice for our sister's reunion!

This was a great location. Close to all the things. And seemed very pet friendly. House was well equipped. Good amount of room to be able to have your own space if wanted. Would definitely stay again!!

The light by the bed in the master bedroom was broke, flopping all over the place. The towel rack in the master bathroom was ready to fall off the wall. I tightened as good as possible with my fingernail. The toilet seat in the guest bathroom was loose. My friend about fell on the floor and she’s 70. Every time we walked across the floors, we felt like we were gonna fall through them, and our socks were absolutely black. The vents in the house for the air conditioner has black dirt or mold or something all the way around them. Other than that Waco is beautiful and the people were wonderful. I have asthma and I think the mold around the vents made me ill and my friend got sinus issues

Over all it was what I expected based on the pictures. Older home in an older neighborhood.
Was awesome to have big backyard but toys where sun rotted I would suggest putting them in something to protect them.
Washer had issues and would not go through the full cycle.
Kitchen well stocked except only two forks.
The extras were well appreciated like the local information left for things to do in places to eat.
Very family friendly place.

Wonderful stay. Brought family together for niece, daughter in law and grandchild birthdays. Perfect cozy little house.lyle house did not disappoint. It was warm and inviting with a unique charm and nostalgia that we thoroughly enjoyed. The furnishings were fun, the yard was well maintained . All it was the perfect accomodation for pets, grandkids and grandparents alike. We visit waco several times a year and this will become our go to place for future family gatherings. We very much look forward to our next adventure and return to the Lyle house. Thanks for the welcoming attention.

It was my wife's birthday weekend so we booked a couple nights down in Waco. We have 5 kids ranging from 3 mo. - 8 yrs and they all thoroughly enjoyed themselves as well. They especially loved the tv room in the back with the games and couch. It was raining so we didn't get to fully enjoy the fire pit and yard games but our kids got in what they could on the back porch. Nothing about the house or the check out process was difficult or hard to figure out which honestly takes a load off your shoulders when you're out of town and in an unfamiliar place. Really it was such an easy weekend and just what we needed.

The directions that were left to lock and unlock the door are opposite.
We were expecting complimentary wine and there was none.
The jack and Jill bathroom sink drains very slow.
Overall it is a sweet little house and we felt it was very well organized.

This was a great house for our family homecoming weekend in Waco! Everything was clean. The kitchen well equipped, and it had a great yard for fun with the kiddos! Highly recommend!

Good location, quiet neighborhood. Invited my daughter and roommates at Baylor over Saturday evening and grilled steaks for 9. Had a good stay and would rent this house again.

I can honestly say that this was the best choice we could have made! It was so comfortable it felt like home. This property was spacious, clean, and had all the essentials. The only problem we had was with the Wi-Fi but they were right on top of it!!! Will definitely choose to book with Waco Rentals again!

We were traveling with a friend and her kid and our small dogs for a horse show. This house accommodated us all and was close to everywhere we needed to be. Loved the large yard and grill which we used for steaks one night. Host always answered our questions. Will be booking there again next time we are in Waco.

The Lyle house was a cute little house and met our needs just fine. The backyard was large with lots of things to do (cornhole, horseshoes, firepit, outdoor seating, BBQ) but the grass needed a mow and there was a decent amount of dog poo that we picked up so our own pups wouldn't mess with it.
The house spacious with a nice work area in the back. Beware of spiders ... my husband was bitten by one when he was in the add-on room by the back door to the porch. It ended up being just a cobweb spider that we captured and released in the backyard and no reflection on the home, just a funny little thing that happened.
We loved the location of the house. It's less than 10 minutes from most things like Cameron Park, downtown, Baylor campus, and grocery stores/shopping. It's a quiet neighborhood with friendly folks who waved to us every time we saw them.
Our main recommendation would be to freshen the towels a bit more often. They all smelled musty from living in the bathroom cabinet of an older home.
Overall, this was a nice place to stay. We would certainly book again!

This house has everything you could need. Multiple beds, multiple TV rooms, large kitchen and dinning area. Large backyard and covered porch. Close to downtown (where we needed to go each day). Highly recommended

Our group of 8 stayed here for Baylor Homecoming and it was great! The beds are very comfortable, the house was clean, the backyard is huge, and it was perfect for our stay in Waco. I would stay there again for sure!

This is a charming older house that was well-appointed and had everything we needed (including a bottle of wine for the adults and candy for the kids.) While I understand the need for the management company to ensure rules are followed, we didn't appreciate the threat of having our reservation canceled for not immediately returning their rental agreement. (We had already paid the entire rental fee, and the threat to cancel seemed unnecessary. ) One of the neighbors had a dog that was left outside all night - even in the rain - and was obviously in extreme distress. It barked all night long...a horrible high pitched yelp that was totally ignored by its owner.
Waco has such potential. But it's dirty and the residents seem apathetic to the conditions. We went to the zoo and park. The zoo was fun, but the park was absolutely filthy. And none of the families there (whom I presume were Waco residents) cared a whit. I took a trash bag and picked up while they watched gape-mouthed.
Obviously. the condition of the city is not the fault of the property owner or management company, but it's part of the experience. If that matters to you, I'd recommend staying in a different city.

We came to Waco specifically for a girls weekend at The Silos and to eat at Magnolia Table. The Lyle House was in close vicinity to The Silos, which was perfect for our little one that needed to come back to take a nap. We also enjoyed sitting out on the patio in the evenings. Great wekend!

We really enjoyed our stay in Waco, upon arrival we were greeted with snacks and wine so that started our vacation off right! We were so grateful to find a place that allowed us to bring our dog on vacation with us and you can tell by the decor and dog treats they really like dogs too. Those are my kind of people! Loved all the homey touches and also enjoyed the covered back patio as it rained every day we were there. Thank you for sharing your home with us!

We loved the outdoor games provided by the host, seating area and fire pit. The kitchen was well stocked and we were able to prepare meals at the house. Convenient location, great stay!

We so enjoyed this house with our family. We had family members come from Okla. and us from the gulf coast. The place was clean with every amenity that we needed for our stay. The wine welcome was an added pleasure that we enjoyed. Our family had the best time the place was just perfect and enough room for everyone to move around and not feel cramped. The backyard was perfect for our crew lots of space for everyone to do their own thing. Thanks Bonnie it was a great experience that we are looking forward to again next year for our reunion.

For our group of 5, this house was perfect. The bedrooms are very comfortable, the bathrooms were clean, the main living areas have plenty of room to gather, and the kitchen was stocked for fresh coffee each morning. The backyard is well maintained with a comfortable, covered patio and outdoor games. There was some confusion gaining access to the house upon arrival due to changes in the access codes, but it sounds like it was an honest mistake and corrected as soon as possible. I would stay here again without hesitation.

This house was very homey and had a lot of room for all of us to spread out. There were eight of us. The owner was very responsive to any questions and issues that came up. We needed a plumber and he was there in 15 min.

The house was nice and clean!! The owner provided a lot more of the basic needs than we get in other VRBO we have stayed at before. It was just minutes from everything. The information package given to us was very informative. The local food was great and priced very reasonable.i would don this again in the future and recommend it .

We really enjoyed our stay at this property. It was in a quiet neighborhood and was within minutes of all the sites we wanted to visit. There was 4 of us and we all had plenty of room and didn't feel overcrowded. The beds were super comfy and there was plenty of towels, linens etc. Netflix and wifi was a plus! We also enjoyed the goodies that were left for us. I would recommend this house and would definitely stay here again if ever return to Waco. Thanks Pam!

Our short trip to Waco was made even more special after arriving at this home. True, there were just two adults and two small dogs making up our "group", but finding that we could "stretch out" and enjoy the extra room(s) a definite PLUS. Our decision to rent this location was due to all the pictures we found online regarding the listing. Being unfamiliar with area tourist locations we were happy to find, upon check-in a complete packet over viewing sites, restaurants, etc.. . . . And what a surprise to find a bottle of wine in the refrigerator AND two FULL candy dishes on the kitchen countertop to help us "sketch out" our plans.We had hoped to spend several additional days in Waco, but were called back home due to unforeseen circumstances. But we know for SURE - - Waco truly has more to offer each and every traveler coming into this area. This listing offers the ability to rest, relax in the back yard, or enjoy preparing a meal in the convenient kitchen. Pam's property on Lyle Ave was perfect for our family of 6. The house was just as described, well maintained and very clean. It is an older home in an older neighborhood but it, as well as the surrounding homes, has been well kept and the neighborhood was very quiet. I grew up in Waco so I had a good idea of the surroundings. Some may say it's a little far from a few places you might want to visit but not more than a 15 minute drive. We were happy to not stay at a chain hotel while traveling with adult children. Having this home to stay in was much more enjoyable as we could gather in the green room for tv watching, in the dining room for playing games and the kitchen has ample space for more than one cook. The back yard is great for all kinds of outdoor activities and the covered porch was very large with comfy chairs for drinking coffee in the mornings. Check in and out was very easy and our stay went without a hitch. I would recommend this for couples traveling together or for large families. Plenty of room to stretch out. I would like to say the owner of this place upgraded our internet when we had trouble which was nice of her to do. The location is good with shopping 5min away. Easy parking, clean home beautiful decorations
Problems we had:
The windows in the house don't open, none of them. It was stuffy so he had the AC on all the time
The TVs barely had any channels.
Internet was super slow until the owner fixed it
Lamp above oven doesn't work.
