Check in was quick and door lock worked in the first try. Guessing which driveway to enter was a challenge but a quick phone call got that taken care of (we go there when it was dark, so suggest daylight entered for initial arrival). Property was as described.Tap water had a fairly strong sulphur smell to it and it permeated the rest of the cottage. We ran the bathroom fan all of our stay and it helped a bit. Suggest bottled water for drinking, coffee, and cooking.Bed was comfortable, shower curtain fell upon entering the bathroom, but I was able to get it back up. Shower head and tub drain needed to be maintained: shower head and drain opener (tub drain was SLOW). Owner dropped drain cleaner and Lime-away, limited success with drain.Overall, it worked for us, but worthy to note items above. We saw a Bald Eagle take off in the horse pasture nearby. Then about 10 mins later two Barred owls serenaded us, it helped to relax and “forget about life for a while”.

Lauraine, the host, was very nice and easy to work with. She greeted us and spent time telling us about the area. We loved relaxing on the porch and were glad the property had a pen to let our dog play in.

We were able to stay close to daughter son in law and family without getting in Sarasota traffic. Great location for us. In the country and quiet.

The ad for this property does not show that you are actually IN the horse pasture! No problem with that except the horses mill about the house about 2 pm waiting to be taken in about 5 which creates a dusty yard .....
Lauraine is pleasant to deal with and Denis is great— very responsive .very helpful..
For a long stay the living room chair is very uncomfortable and the bed mattress needs a replacement. The mattress topper Lauraine was quick to supply made the pull out very comfortable .
The property is close to shopping and super convenient to 75 which gets you north and south while still being in the country —- so far. There is massive housing construction nearby.
