Loved our experience here even if we’re only 3 days for my husbands Graduation. Will definitely come back if I were to visit in the future.

The property is average. The pool was over chlorinated so we chose not to use it. Multiple vending machines were out of service and the breakfast was lackluster. We had issues with the cleanliness of the room and we are confident that they do not do a thorough cleaning as we found a vaping pen on the floor in our room in plain site which was turned into the front desk. Someone also went into our second room on this booking and took cash off the dresser before my parents departed. They had left this money as a tip but the do not disturb sign was on the door and their bags were still in the room. One of the cleaners helped themselves to the room despite the sign and took this money. These are major concerns and hopefully management reviews these issues with the staff because it is unacceptable. Do not leave any belongings of value in the rooms while you are out because they will help themselves. If my children has been with us and found that vape pen instead of myself this would have been worse. Please train your staff to clean the rooms and not enter rooms marked with “Do Not Disturb” to take money.

We were very impressed starting with the friendly female desk clerk, who explained everything for our stay, to the cleanliness of the room, comfort of the bed and the wonderful coffee available 24 hours.
We wanted to book another date in May for our grandsons graduation from a school nearby but we were too late all booked up😢

The service was excellent from the front desk to the pool maintenance workers, and we can't forget Robin from the breakfast staff. We have never been taken care of in a budget friendly hotel in this manner. Not saying that it wasn't a very nice looking hotel. We were so very surprised and appreciative. We asked for nothing yet was always taken care of at each of these areas.

stocked and the staff kept it clean and full at all times. The pool was really nice, the hot tub was great and the sauna was appreciated. The room was clean and great for our family.

Hallway was very noisy all nite. They put us to the pet friendly floor even though we didn’t have any pets. Floor and room smelled. Breakfast service was poor. Pillows were uncomfortable

This was the biggest surprise of our trip to New England.
Of the three hotels/motels we stayed in (Holiday Inn, HJ by Wyndham, Best Western), the HJ was the best, had the biggest rooms, was the most modern and updated, and had a very decent (but not the best) breakfast of the three.
Staff was top notch - friendly, helpful and appreciative of our patronage.
Since this was a March visit, we didn't care that that pool was closed (and will be for a while) and we also didn't mind that there was some work being done on the opposite end of the property.
They also connect directly to an Applebee's next door, so you don't even have to walk outside, which was great, because it was really windy and cold that night.
I'd be back in a heartbeat.

So easy to find, close to everything! We stayed here while exploring Newport and was so easy to go everyplace we wanted. The room was so clean and fully redone! We loved it and so cozy.

This location has gone thru a total.transformation. The lobby/ lounge is beautiful. The rooms have been updated. The place has the feel of a more expensive hotel. The hot buffet breakfast was delicious and plentiful.

Great getaway during the winter. Great for the kids to swim. The pool is heated and the whirlpool works great. Didn’t get to use sauna but there is one.
Great location, close to restaurants, grocery stores and pharmacies in case you need something.
Breakfast hours are great 6-10.
Only complaints are pool was closed from 11am-3pm for cleaningand the walls are thin but not a problem if you have quiet neighbors.
There is an elevator.

The rooms were spotless, breakfast was great, staff was friendly and uber efficient, all in all a great spot to anchor your Newport visit.

The room and bathroom were clean and spacious. We had an issue checking in when they were trying to take the $100.00 deposit. The 1st card I used was my debit card, which there was plenty of money in that account. So I tried a 2nd card which had a huge available balance and that was rejected as well. Then my girlfriend tried her card and that was rejected. The staff were rude and it seemed as though they weren't going to let us stay there. I even tried showing them I had pending transactions on my cards but they didn't care. It was clear there was a problem with their system but they made us feel like we were the problem. After about 30 minutes and us calling our CC company and giving the authorization code did we get the key cards to our room. Also, the hot tub water looked brownish, kind of disgusting.

Everything about this place was awesome. The room was very clean and up to date. The pool and hot tub were great. Breakfast was really good. Will be staying thete in the future when we visit Newport again.

Very friendly staff. Clean and nicely decorated. Love the big fireplace in the main lobby. The breakfast and coffee was good. We had our dogs with us and there is a certain part of the hotel where they have us stay and it was nice being around other pet parents and not having to worry about guests in the main building. Plus our room had a sliding glass door so it made it easy to go in and out with the dogs right from our room. The room didn’t smell like dogs either and was very clean. Also, there was a dog park right next to the hotel. I would definitely stay here again.

Stayed here for the Army Navy Game at Gillette Stadium. It made for a great weekend. Was about a 1 hour drive to the stadium, then we spent the rest of the weekend going out and about to Newport. The hotel was clean, comfortable and super convenient for everything we did. The pool was great to relax in after some long days. Breakfast was also hearty and well stocked (Really liked the avocado for toast). Staff was always friendly when we had a question or at check in. Would stay here again in a heartbeat.

We stayed two nights in early December to experience our first Christmas in Newport. The hotel was spotless, included breakfast was a great perk, and the proximity to town was perfect. It was a great value for those traveling on a budget. I would definitely recommend to others.

Overall a great stay for a quick trip, probably not the case for a longer vacation. The front desk staff were very efficient and helpful, the lobby is beautiful and inviting. Free breakfast was pretty good too! Biggest complaint is the walls are paper thin so make sure you bring a sound machine or something. The people in the room next to us were only talking and we could hear everything, it was frustrating. Aside from that, room was small but clean and overall a nice stay.

There is a huge nature preserve right across the street, 40 acres for walking the dog!
Very dog friendly. They will put you in the dog hall in the back. But the door opens right into the phenomenal nature preserve!
Excellent value for dog owners. Just a fifteen dollar charge.
