Old musty hotel. Nothing like the pictures door broken, heater noisy musty smells. Very disappointed

I stayed in a handicapped room although not handicapped - room 121. It’s a bigger room that is actually better than a standard room so request if available. Less than 10 minutes to Kodiak airport Has free breakfast

It was advertised as two beds and a sofa bed in the room. So we had three of us for three beds but once we arrived at the hotel they didn’t want three people to a room. That’s false advertising and we just got done with a 6 hour drive and it’s 12 am. So Instead I am currently outside your hotel having to sleep in my truck and it’s even the hotel I paid for. But I feel bad and embarrassed since I told everyone they would have a bed tonight because I reserved the bigger three bed capable room. Anyways thanks for nothing best western and the three of us will not be attending your hotel stay or recommending it anytime in the near future.

After I arrived at the airport I called the hotel to ask for the shuttle. I gave my name to the clerk I spoke with. Once I got my baggage I walked outside to see the shuttle drive by without even stopping. I waited so long that the airport staff were locking up the airport doors for the night. When the shuttle returned to pick me up I was the only person standing outside. The driver couldn’t even explain why he left without me because he didn’t speak english. You guys suck.

We had to take our luggage up and down flight of stairs by ourselves. We are in our later seventies. A CA HALLENGE and cracked one piece of luggage near the wheel bumping it up the steps.

From the moment we arrived, everyone greeted us with warmth and a wonderful smile. The staff in the continental breakfast area, provided fast and friendly service. To quote a mentor to me in the hospitality industry, “People, make people happy”, and the staff was certainly the definition of that motto. The parking was a bit of a hassle, had to park on the street,

Our stay on Kodiak Island was truly wonderful. We love the island, and hope to be able to return in the near future! We have traveled all around Alaska for the past month, and Kodiak island has stolen our hearts.

I have stayed at this hotel off and on for about 15 years. It is time for Best Western to make an effort to upgrade the rooms to modern standards. The staff was helpful at check in.

Hotel in downtown Kodiak. Easy access, clean, friendly staff. Restaurant has good food son especially like the bacon wrapped scallops, salmon, and soups. Good free breakfast. City views of the harbor. I would stay again if needed.

The rooms we booked were down a hallway where there were multiple buckets on the floor catching some pretty fast water drips. We had to tell the front desk that it made the emergency light fixture spark and we’re worried about the safety. Rooms smelled musty, and the water leak was noisily coming down the wall all night. When we spoke to the front desk about compensation, they basically told us it was our fault for booking through Expedia. Realistically they should not have rented out those rooms if that wing was in such disrepair, as it was an absolute health/safety hazard. The lack of responsibility was off putting. The manager acted annoyed that we would even mention it
