We had an amazing experience checking in and being greeted by the staff. It was easy to reserve our dinner reservations and spa appointments. We were in one of the castle suites and loved our butler Eric! He was attentive and answered all of our questions. Bonus points for him finding sunglasses for my husband who forgot his at home. We loved our suite and found it to be very comfortable and spacious, however, it was far from the main pool area and most of the food or entertainment. The walk was not awful, but something to keep in mind if you're in the suite. Additionally, the plunge pool was really cold in March, it's possible it would have better use in the summer months. We used the plunge pool anyways and enjoyed it while the sun was out. The room was always clean and we were never without towels or drinks! Thank you to the entire staff. We hope to come back!

The food at this resort was excellent! Good quality, with lots of variety and options. The service was very good as well. The air conditioning in the rooms, not so good. Lowest setting on the thermostat was 22 C. Usually stayed 23 C in the room with the AC running non stop day and night. The pools and grounds very nice and well kept. The beach there is not for swimming. It is a small area that is rocky. The water is very murky as well. The beach area itself is fine for lounging however.

The hotel is beautifull,the pools and decoration, and the food is very good.I did not like the slowly service in room service,they give me a wine whit another name,the mantenaince in the wall of rooms ar bad in one restaurante the waiters have fightings in front of the customer,the service in the pool for the waiters is bad

Overall our stay was enjoyable. Except some miscommunication issues at restaurants. Servers tend to forget to bring what was ordered or bring totally different order, mostly it is regarding drinks. So in my opinion service at restaurants needs better management.

The staff is extremely polite. The dining options could be better though. Majority of the restaurants are available only for dinner, and then have strict dress codes and aren't open every night. Why have a dress code if I am already paying thousands of dollars to be in your all inclusive resort? And why not have all restaurants open daily? Also, for breakfast you only have 2 options - the buffet or room service, and then 3-4 options for lunch. I could never get a reservation for the hibachi at the japanese restaurant, and fusion was closed. Also, they charge you $5 per pizza if you order them to go back to your room or the pool etc. The responsiveness of the staff when calling could be better. Numerous times I would have to call a few times for front desk or room service before anyone would actually answer. And then when you tell them to take your plates/food away from your room from room service, they never came. Would I come back? Yes, but only for the steal of a price I got (about $1500 for 6 nights with an ocean view suite). But at the normal rate which is closer to 5-6K I definitely would not and would consider other resorts.

The resort is good. The grounds and pools are beautiful! The beach is small. The main pool bartender (Manuel) is rude and dismissive. The shower in our room smelled of sewer. Ruby at the beach bar was amazing. The pizza’s are delicious, the sushi was fantastic, and the piano bar was wonderful. I would go back but wouldn’t agree to stay in a smelly room or put up with bad service so I would complain at the property next time.

My biggest regret with the sanctuary cap Cana was that we upgraded rooms to a villa. A big reason we upgraded was due to the love seat swing on the back porch. My wife loved that. After the first day, they took it down and never brought it or a new one back. Really upsetting

The buffet was subpar (you have to select your food choices through a glass partition while an employee puts your plate together and serves to you through a slot in the glass partition). The dining menu options are extremely limited (5 items to choose from max). Not a 5 star. I paid for a beachfront junior king suite and got a poolfront ground level suite with a distant oceanview. I did not appreciate that at all. Property is gorgeous, gym is amazing, pools are abundant and best of all is the staff.

15 minutes from the airport was such a nice way to start our trip. The resort is stunning. So many little thoughtful details throughout that are hard to describe. If you are looking for a place that is clean, safe, high quality & laid back, this is the spot for you. The food was fantastic. Entertainment was incredible. Plenty of options of things to do. Private Beach to was really awesome, just steps away from bars/pool/food. Highly recommend this resort 10 times out of 10. We will be back!

We had an excellent stay. Pleased with the beachfront, pools, gym fully equipped and service. We took advantage of the hydro circuit at the spa - if u like steam/sauna we recommend a day pass.

It is exceptionally clean. I felt very safe, there are quite a few security checkpoints to get to the property as well as when you leave the property. The food was very delicious, which was surprising for an all inclusive resort. The drinks are made with quality ingredients and alcohol. The staff is incredibly friendly and willing to help with whatever you may need. The spa was an excellent experience, we got the couples massage and it was amazing. I golfed at Punta Espada, which is around a 10 minute drive from the resort, and lived up to it’s reputation as the best course in the Caribbean.

Staff: not attentive. At 5:30pm someone was walking around the back offering sun screen. I asked for a menu- no one knows where it is. We asked simple questions like where is the restroom, no one knows. Restaurant: no Ceasar salad, no empanadas (both on the menu). Drinks were too sweet. Steak over cooked. Took 18 mins (we set a counter) before someone offered us water. Check in: slow

Excellent stay. VIP option came with a butler who took care of nearly all details. We originally booked a beach suite but these were under maintenance. The hotel upgraded us to a villa complete with VIP status. That was led to a bit of confusion on registration. It all worked out well in the end. The room service and clean up were inconsistent. The missed several turn downs and one morning cleaning and make up service. Room service as great the first time we used in and poor the second time. The restaurants were universally excellent. Service around the pools was great. Overall the stay was great.

Everything was great except when the jacuzzii didnt work, it took a while for them to come up and fix it. And then when black stuff came out of the jets we called again to clean it thoroughly but no one came.

Liked the staff, but felt concierge services could have been better. There was no printed anything available. Everything had to be done with your phone. Did not like the fact that we couldn't get television either. Had to stream from phone or lap top.

This was an absolute Sanctuary! It was beautiful and very well maintained. After a major hiccup with the room, it was the perfect place to just relax. The check in staff can be a little better, but if we are talking about just the property 10/10 would recommend.

The resort is beautiful and the staff are really nice. But the food quality wasnt so great and there werent much options to chose from. One day one restaurant is open and the next everything is closed. Which doesnt make sense for a resort this big and expensive. I got sick 2 days in due to the water being contaminated. Everyone in the resort was getting sick either from the water or food. I highly recommend the resort the handle this matter because its very costly to stay and people are trying to enjoy their vacation, not to get sick. This was by far the worst experience at a resort this well known. Stop being cheap and fix the issue as everyone is getting sick from this place. The management staff acts like they dont know whats going on, i had asked them to change my sheets, water and they didnt. They’re using water bottles with broken seals. Meaning reusing the dirty bottles and dirty water and restocking them.
