We just got back from a 7 day trip at the Esmeralda. This is our first stay at the Esmeralda and this was a nice, relaxing resort. A few things about the resort that I noticed. Initially when we got there they made sure we were set up in a room that was perfect for us, Initially we were on the 3rd floor and it was going to be hard for our special needs daughter since they do not have elevators, so they moved us to the lower level. Marco was very helpful. Alberto the bartender at the main pool made our trip enjoyable. The buffet food was very average and the restaurants were good. Especially the Mongolian restaurant. There were a few friendly staff at the buffet sites, but most were not very friendly. Usually they figure out we are tippers and treat us at least friendly, but we didn't feel that there. We kind of missed the big indoor lobby to lounge in like we have been used to at other resorts. All in all, it was a nice, relaxing week. Another thing that kept happening was that the thermostat fan would go to auto in the middle of the night and they it would get warm. That was irritating.

I called because my room 95206 had a very bad odor. They went 1 time to check out but the Oder continued. I notified it 3 times.

Francia Y Jimenez, she is absolutely great! She was very helpful, attentive, professional… I just cannot say enough of how amazing she is from our arrival to our departure and anything and everything if there was a need she took care of us like family! The Resort is clean our room was vary clean as well as our private pool, the staff is also attentive to what ever you may need. The restaurants were very good, food was excellent! Breakfast was excellent with a variety of foods same with lunch ! You will not be disappointed. Activities everyday at the beach and the pool! My third trip and I love it!

The staffs were very helpful. There was one staff that went above and beyond to make sure my girlfriend and I had an amazing time. Big shout out to LUIS at the front desk. He is an example of an employee, great guy. The room was very clean and the property was well maintained. It was very easy to get around. Amazing place to vacation at.
