I would thoroughly recommend this hotel to anyone travelling to Iriomote. There's lots of space on the property, including a massive bathroom and a huge terrace, with a sea view where you can see the stars at night.
There's also lots of wildlife that can be easily seen from many areas on the property, for example frogs and coconut crabs.
It's extremely peaceful, with only two rooms (and the other was unoccupied when we stayed)
The breakfast each morning is small but delicious, and they take care to change the menu every day.
The biggest reason for giving the highest rating to this property was that we got stuck on the island during a typhoon. The owner helped us by arranging an extra night, and then driving us to various places such as lunch and the supermarket so that we could still enjoy our stay as much as possible.
The owner can speak good English if you're worried about communication.
The location is also convenient; perhaps a 10 minute or so drive from the main ferry port, and a couple of great restaurants within walking distance.
