The hotel is very nice! Very clean and pretty new! Mari Carmen is a lovely girl! She gave us all the information about Tulum and about the hotel! We loved our stayed over there!

Avoid at all costs!!! We did late check-in and our room wouldn't lock at all. The hotel refused to fix it right away, refused to switch our rooms or provide a refund. As 2 female travelers, we were super concerned for our safety since the lobby was not secure and there were alot of random men outside. Because it was late, and we had nowhere to go, we stayed the night with our luggage and furniture propped against the door. The room had a broken AC unit that was dripping water all over the floor, we had no towels, the bar was not operational upstairs, and the only breakfast served the next morning was toast and coffee. I had to fight to cancel our reservation and the staff was super rude about the whole situation. My advice is to take your money elsewhere - there are so many other better places.

The staff is very friendly and helpful. It's close to the center of downtown Tulum. The room is acceptable as a small hotel. The free breakfast is just toasts and coffee, but I liked it. The road in front of the hotel is unpaved and pooled with water.

Convenient location near main road and restaurants. Very compact room with all facilities. Pool on the roof! Bed linen and towels could do with an upgrade but overall excellent value for money. Great breakfast.

I booked it for the general Location and it had a rooftop pool. The pool was so very dirty It was absolutely disgusting. Staff saw us up there so they skimmed the pool water to try to clean it. It was filthy throughout that took photos as it was so bad. The front desk staff was courteous. The breakfast staff was not very helpful and the first day they said they ran out of food even through we were up at 7:30 am. We saw others served a little later so we were very confused? The patio area in the room faced a cement wall. They were approximately 3’x6’ in size Hardly anyone was in the hotel, why didn’t they give us a patio room? We didn’t bother asking because we were just so disappointed. Staff kept parking bicycles right in front of our room area at the door in the hallway so we had to keep moving them and asking them not to do that as we would bump into them going in or out of our room. They kept parking them there. I felt like we were staying in the closet/storage area?

The pool was gross, water was green don’t think it was ever clean. It had a scum on it. Wifi was very weak. It says free breakfast first day they had nothing to cook us second day we got fruit and the third day we finally got eggs and toast and coffee hot water was hit and miss in shower. The only good thing was the beds we’re comfortable and ac worked. I would not recommend the Zendero

I'm so confused. The staff at the reception was very nice, the breakfast was wonderful. However, there was no cleaning at all. No bathroom supplies were received, towels were not changed, rubbish was not emptied. We'll return to Tulum, but we are not going back to this hotel.

Really hate to write a bad review but I do just want to warn others to avoid this place. I forgot a pair of shoes there (I’m positive of this, I wore them on our last night staying there and am quite positive I forgot them under the bed as I usually slide shoes down there). I called hours after checking out and they said that nobody had found them. They claimed they checked everywhere in the room. So, unless you want someone who is dishonest possibly cleaning your room, don’t stay here. Additionally, we chose this place specifically because it included parking and in reality there is only space for 3 cars at the front of the hotel. There was also construction going on across the street (not the hotels fault) but the view from our room was just a construction zone and we couldn’t sit on the chairs in the balcony because they were covered in dust from the construction. It seems there was also construction going on in the hotel itself and they started at 6:30am, so I wasn’t able to sleep after that. There was also a stain on our sheets.. it seemed like they were clean/ washed, but the stain wasn’t a great impression. The breakfast is good though and made to order, and the folks at reception acted nice and professional. I could have over looked all the bad things and wrote a review focusing on the good but knowing that someone is lying about not finding my shoes really ruins it.

Overall, our stay did not meet our expectations. Hotel was not nearly as nice as the photos. Mold stains on wall. Stains on bedspread. Breakfast was good but took 45min our second day. Evening receptionist was not very friendly. Only 3 parking spots (but can park along the dirt road it is on). Walkable to downtown Tulum, but not that nice of a walk. No chairs or desk in the room. Chairs on our deck were covered in dust from construction across the road.

Really appreciated that the hotel is centrally located and isn’t gated and sequestered from the local people of Tulum. During our stay, the staff was awesome, they were welcoming and helpful and we really enjoyed the space.

Great boutique hotel close to center of Tulum but on a quiet street. An easy bike ride to Tulum beach from the hotel! Great breakfast! Nice pool area on roof. Nice hotel and a great value.

I never stay in the same hotel 2 nights in a row as I enjoy traveling around… However that was the exception :the hotel is very nice the breakfast is pretty and amazing and the pool and the top off is very interesting so I ended up staying longer

Zendero Hotel was a beautiful place to stay during my trip in Tulum! The staff were super friendly, accommodating to our needs and all amenities were so lovely. I truly enjoyed my stay and I hope to return to Mexico in the future.

This is such a quaint and lovely hotel. It’s near a strip of restaurant right in the center of town and not far from the Tulum town center where all the bars and boutiques are. You will need a car to get around in Mexico. The staff was super helpful and friendly and the breakfast menu was excellent.

This is a brand new hotel. Actually you can tell by the smell of the room. The rooftop pool is quite nice. Breakfast is a plus, it was actually very good! The only downfall is the $30 extra charge for 3rd person for one night. Seemed too expensive. The location is kinda hard to find too, it’s tucked away from the main street. But the service was excellent, the guy at the front desk was nice.

Staying at Zendero was a great experience. It was very affordable for a clean, good room. The rooms are pretty standard, but what stands out about Zendero is the service. Pablo and the rest of the staff went above and beyond to make our experience incredible. Just to highlight two things, he went to the market to get food for our friend while she was sick. He also helped us book COVID tests and waited for the results. You will not be disappointed with your stay!

The room was okay but it obviously hadn’t been thoroughly cleaned because there was a pair of shoes under the bed that I guess belong to the previous guest. The young lady at the front desk wasn’t very helpful. She didn’t give us the remote to the air conditioning until we went back down and asked for it and when we asked for clean towels she said there wasn’t any.... The road up to the hotel was basically a dirt alley which was pretty dark at night. The only positive was they had bikes for rent, pretty good breakfast and the rooftop is nice. Definitely wouldn’t recommend staying here

The hotel was very unique and different. It was a perfect stay for us as we were mainly out and about. The area around the hotel was the throw off...when exiting always go to the left never the right.... Left had more action and restaurants choices. Right was very very local and it even seems like Your walking down a alley :( Overall I loved that the hotel offered complimentary breakfast every morning and it was delicious. The bar they have pictured upstairs by pool was closed the whole week we were there. The room again was nice as well. However when we entered our room there was nothing...no towels or soaps, we went down to ask and the young lady at front was very helpful and gave us everything! Biggest thing was there is no elevator, so pray if your luggage is heavy your not on top floor lol But overall worked for our trip.
