About this house rental

Our North Haven home is the perfect place to relax and unwind, or to take a break from the city and work from a quiet remote location. A connected dining room, kitchen, and living room with high ceilings and lots of windows gives you a great place to gather, and a large yard gives you plenty of space to lounge, play, and grill. We spend a lot of time here with our two kids and always feel refreshed after spending time in this lovely spot. Some specifics about the home: The large table in the dining room seats 8, and there are two kids chairs and a high chair if needed. All pots & pans, dishes, and kitchen tools that you need to cook inside or grill outside are provided. The patio has a table with an umbrella and a grill, and the back deck features a retractable awning. Two bedrooms have Casper queen beds, and the third bedroom has a full-sized bed and a twin. The third bedroom contains games, puzzles and books for kids. All bedrooms have comfortable mattresses, and plenty of linens, comforters, and pillows are provided. There is a full bathroom and a half bath with laundry. And a little bit about the neighborhood and area: Our home is located on a quiet street, one mile from Foster Memorial Beach (Long Beach) and a 20-minute drive from ocean beaches. Lots of outdoor activities in this peaceful little neighborhood: Walk around the corner to a pond where kids can look for frogs, then head down the road to Sunset Beach to have a rock skipping contest & enjoy the eponymous evening view. Ride our two cruiser bikes to Long Beach, to town, or just around the neighborhood. One of our favorite jaunts is to take the bikes on the Ferry to Shelter Island and ride to Mashomack Preserve, a gem of a nature preserve. Sag Harbor itself is a great walking town, loads of restaurants, galleries, bars, unique shops, and a movie theatre. The Long Wharf often hosts farmer markets and art fairs throughout the summer, not to mention the best ice cream shop in town (Big Olaf!). The Whaling Museum is a nice slice of days past, and is loaded with local history and flavor. As Sag is rather centrally located, a short drive can bring you to any of the Hamptons many attractions such as: Children's Museum of the East End, Montauk Lighthouse, South Fork Natural History Museum, Wolffer Estate & Channing Daughters (vineyards), Parrish Art Museum, apple picking (seasonal) etc.

A very nice and clean recently renovated 3-bed 1.5-bath house. Our family with 2 adults, 3 children and a nanny spent 5 days here in April on a quiet escape from the city. House is stylish and warm; beds and bedding are comfy, the house is clean with no clutter, has a great flow, and is on a quiet street. Arrival/departure was easy, as was communication with the host. Best part for the children was a few deer visiting the huge backyard one evening. Enjoy!

We stayed here as a couple and had been a bit reluctant to book because we thought a 3-bedroom place would be a bit too big just for the two of us. We were wrong - the bedrooms are rather smallish in a seemingly older part of the building, so you don't "waste" space if you don't need all of them. The center of the accommodation is definitely the remodeled part boasting a huge open living room which consists of three areas perfect for cooking, eating, and relaxing. And then there are the sundeck and the big garden. As we stayed in Mid-October, there were not that many hours of sun, but it was still very enjoyable spending time there reading and relaxing. Everything is extemely well-maintained, and Siobhan couldn't be more accommodating. She offered to heat up the house remotely before our arrival, so we wouldn't get into a cold place. We missed a channel on the Apple TV, and she immediately subscribed to it for us. Although we never met in person it felt like we had a caring and welcoming concierge on site all the time. Be aware, though, that the house is in a residential area a few miles from town. That's exactly what we enjoyed - coming from overseas, it was fun feeling like a local, buying items at the grocery store and preparing our own meals. We did not miss at all having no restaurants, bars, or shops in walking distance. If you require that, however, the place is not ideal for you. For us, it was one of the most relaxing vacations we ever had, and we are eager to come back.

This house is perfection. First of all, the pictures don't even do it justice. This sun and light filled house is just gorgeous and puts a smile on your face as soon as you walk in. Huge and spacious living/dining/kitchen area and an enormous backyard! The property itself is a lot bigger than the photos and there's enough space to play softball and croquet! The kitchen is very comfortable to cook in. The bedrooms are all comfortable and provide a great night's sleep and the North Haven area is the perfect location. The house is literally a three minute drive to the beach, a five minute drive to Sag Harbor/Main Street and a three minute drive to the ferry to Shelter Island - which we highly recommend! Even just taking a walk near the house was awesome. You'll stumble upon a geese pond, a turtle pond and gorgeous properties, surrounded by woods, nature and sunlight. This was the PERFECT vacation and we can't wait to come back. The owners were wonderful to deal with and were incredibly responsive if we had any questions. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!

It was our first time staying in Sag Harbor and we had a great time. The house is a short car ride from town and the beaches. The description of both the house and the amenities is accurate. In summary, the house is clean, functional, and conveniently located. The kitchen, living room, and one of the bathrooms were recently remodeled. The living space is open and leads to a nice deck in the backyard. The bedrooms are basic and get the job done. We also really appreciated the responsiveness of the owners. They answered questions that we had both leading up to our stay and during our stay. It is a great place to get away with a family. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would recommend it to others.

My wife and I loved this beautiful home! It was clean and stylish, with a newly renovated open kitchen and living area. Tons of light streaming in everywhere, with comfortable furniture. The location is ideal: It's off the beaten path (virtually no street traffic whatsoever) but just a 5 minute drive into town and not far at all from beaches and nature trails. The owners were a pleasure to deal with. We would definitely go back!

A great house for a family or a small group of friends. There's a nice-sized kitchen for cooking and a big deck and yard out back where you can eat outside. The bedrooms are cute and comfortable, and the neighborhood is very quiet and low-key. You want a bike or a car to get to downtown Sag Harbor, but there are bay beaches within walking distance (and amazing ocean beaches a short drive away).
