Casa Howler is one of the nicest vacation rentals we have stayed at. The views of the beaches and sunset were amazing, and the house itself was perfect for the 4 of us, although it can comfortably fit a much larger family. Kitchen had everything you needed, bathrooms were well appointed and the water hot for showers. Plenty of towels to take to the beach or to the on-property pool. The laundry facilities were handy and meant we only needed carry-on luggage with us.
The property is a 7-minute drive from the town of Tamarindo and 5 minutes to a great supermarket with everything you need. We had a shuttle pick us up at Liberia Airport and I rented a car when we arrived in Tamarindo which was a 15-minute walk from the house. The property central to pretty much everything you want to do in and around Tamarindo.
The cleaning crew come in every second day, are excellent at their job and help keep the place spotless and we were fortunate that we had the beautiful pool to ourselves when we used it. There is also a very clean grill that we used one night for grilling steaks.
We used the concierge service that comes with the property, and Mauricio helped us book local restaurants, golf, spa, catamaran cruise, airport shuttles, rental car, helped organize local cooking services who came in and cooked delicious meals and was great with general advice. Well worth using this service.
The property is located within a gated community and is up a steep hill which will get your heart rate up if you walk up it! I did that every morning after a walk along the beach and a coffee at the coffee shack located near the property entrance. That was my vacation exercise!
I cannot recommend this property highly enough. We will definitely return in the future.

The property was beautiful! It did not disappoint and was as beautiful as the pictures. Mauricio the concierge was super helpful and the cleaning staff was lovely. This condo is on a very steep hill that was a real workout for us walkers.

This is such a special places. The view from the patios is amazing morning and night. 8 min walk to the beach, to restaurants and shops. There is a private pools shared with other condos but no one really uses this sweet little pool. The staff are so attentive and helpful. Only advice is get a vehicle as you are quite high up on a hill hence the beautiful views. Accommodations are super clean, spacious and well kept inside and out. Lots of wildlife around such as monkeys, deer, iguanas and sweet sounding birds. Mauricio the manager is there to help with any requests do day trips, meal planning or any thing else you need. Totally worth the stay.
