I loveddd the pool and the view. This was a birthday trip for me and the staff made me feel so appreciated on my birthday when they prepared a cake for me and sang happy birthday. I will always recommend this hotel. It’s also excellent proximity to Quinta Avenida as well as the bus station and the beaches

Ame Hotel was great for us!
Pros:
The staff was incredibly friendly and wanted to help in any way they could.
The hotel was always clean.
They have reasonably priced breakfast right in the hotel.
The location was great for having access to a wide variety of activities - food, shopping, etc. It's directly between 10th Ave (main road for restaurants and businesses by car/bike) and 5th Ave (main walking area with miles of shopping and restaurants)
Beautiful rooftop pool with areas to sit.
Cons:
No off street parking - you can pay to park on the street, or there is a lot that you can park in a couple of blocks east.
Because of the location, it does not quiet down until late. It didn't bother us and we didn't lose any sleep, but there will be music late into the evening.
Unfortunately we didn't use the spa this time around, but it looks wonderful. Just too many other things to do near Playa!

The location is excellent — very close to the beach, supermarkets, and all the nightlife, bars, and restaurants. This makes it extremely convenient, but it also means the hotel can be quite noisy at night.
The room was very large and bright, which we really appreciated. However, the kitchen was poorly equipped. When we arrived, there was only one frying pan and nothing else. The microwave wasn’t working, and the light in the extractor hood was broken. The administration ordered kitchenware for us, but we only received it after six days. The light bulbs were replaced, but the microwave was never fixed.
The bed and pillows were very comfortable, but the bed itself is quite short. For anyone taller than 175 cm, this could be uncomfortable.
We stayed for almost a month, and unfortunately, housekeeping was very inconsistent. During the last week, the room wasn’t cleaned at all — even the trash was not taken out. This was probably the biggest downside of our stay.
Also, the room photos showed a large mirror, which was actually not present in the room.
Despite all of this, I would still consider giving this hotel a second chance. Overall, it has good potential, and we might return again in the future.
