Photographs can mask a million disappointments!

The cottage itself had potential to provide a really comfortable stay. It was spacious and the ambience could have been really good.........but

Despite emailing through Booking.com portal several times before travelling, no reply was received. No one to meet us on arrival and the phone number provided on the particulars was incorrect - eventually worked out what it should have been but ended up waiting for one and half hours in scorching heat following a nine hour flight. Inside the cottage, the sofa and chairs were badly stained and had clearly never been cleaned - we chose not to sit on them. The kitchen stools had no padding in the seats, were badly chipped and badly stained. The bedding whilst clean, was old and stained. The toilet wobbled when you sat on it - which is a bit disconcerting! Four wafer thin pool towels, one with a large hole were provided - only used for sitting on. No closet, so nowhere to hang clothes. Housekeeping was fine, bathroom, floors etc had been cleaned but the general long term maintenance and upkeep was very disappointing. Moving to the outside areas. A large puddle formed outside the doorstep even when it hadn't rained - no explanation for this but meant you had to paddle through it when going in or out. The pool area, gardens, driveway were very shabby, the front entrance gate was hanging off its hinges! Pool looked less than clean, we didn't venture in! We were so disappointed with the place as a whole that we stayed only 2 nights of the 7 we had paid for - it would have only been 1 night if we could have found somewhere else to move to the day after we arrived! A complete waste of $1500.

Good option if you’re going with friends and want to spend less money for less comfort.

Apartment was spacious and having Netflix was a plus. Lighting is nice and well distributed

-I had to ask Cornelia, the person who manages the property I assume, about laundry service at least 4 times and chase housekeeping around to be able to wash my clothes. -Host wasn’t available upon arrival, I had to get phone number from someone in a balcony. -I had to dispute deposit charge because I wasn’t reimbursed after checkout like the contract said. I called and texted Cornelia and she kept making excuses. I got the money back almost a week after I went back to the US. -Sofa stank, I had to put towels on it otherwise couldn’t stand the smell.
