Peaceful Place to stay in Berkeley
About this bed and breakfast
We recently remodeled the house so everything is fairly new. A guest will have a private room and a private bathroom in the house but it is like a separate unit (like a studio without a kitchen). Guests will have complete privacy while staying here. Some guests like to have Zoom meetings here. All the furniture and bedding are from Pottery Barn. The bedding sets are washed and sanitized after each guest leaves. Other areas are not shareable. Please understand that we don't wear shoes in the house. Slippers will be provided. Wearing socks is fine. If you want to bring a pet, please let me know. I will try to accommodate your request. But my place is not suitable for big pets. It is located within 20 minutes of walking distance to UC Berkeley. Bus #36 will take about 5 minutes to DownTown or UC Berkeley. A popular 'Homemade Cafe' is nearby (one-minute walking distance). If you have a car, the street parking is free. This listing is for only one guest.

The place was very clean and felt comfortable. I had a good night sleep. Neighborhood seemed safe with lots of street parking. Nikki was a great host and responsive to questions. I would come back and rent this room again.

I went for a 2 night stay in Berkeley while attending a 1 year birthday party for my great niece and visiting with family. The hostess met me at the door even though my arrival time was only approximate. She gave me a tour of the property and showed me around the kitchen and said I could use the kitchen and her condiments and other food. She made me tea and all went fine from then on. I felt safe and slept well both nights.

Nikki is a very kind host and the property is lovely. Slightly hilly but pretty walk to the Berkeley campus. Very close to several delicious restaurants. Overall great!

Nikki is so thoughtful, accommodating and is an amazing hostess. I had yet to stay in a "shared" space but Nikki has done everything to make visiting easy and their house is spacious, clean and quiet. Cozy, quiet, super clean, fast wifi, the backyard with the sliding glass door was really nice, the neighborhood is in a great central location in Berkeley, parking was easy and safe. I would go there again in the future.

Nikki is a lovely hostess who goes the extra mile to be sure her guests feel welcomed and well cared for.
Her guest room and bath are the cleanest ever and have everything you need. She is happy to let you use her kitchen, too.
Her neighborhood is not posh Berkeley, but it is safe with plenty of street parking. It is pretty close to the university and University and Shattuck with lots of restaurants and shops there.
I would stay there again.

My daughter came up from visiting SF to eat at Chez Panisse Cafe. Our stay was comfortable and very pleasant! The hostess was delightful!!

Says dog friendly and is not a house but a small room??? I would like my money back because I didn’t stay there and had to find another place last minute and paid extra

The host was very accommodating and gracious. The room is small, but everything worked and it was very clean. The back porch is a nice place to sit and have coffee in the morning. The neighborhood felt safe and friendly.

This property was easily accessible and near major public transit lines. Walkable to Cal. It was the perfect space for me as a student coming for the week. Kitchen/living spaces are shared while bedroom/office and bathroom are private. Nikki, the host, was amazing. So kind, easy communication, and I even found an omelette waiting for me for breakfast! Definitely will go to this property again!
