The house was great for a group of three on a work trip in the area. Location was good and everything was perfect.

We have been curious about exploring this area in Washington. Our weekend getaway was delightful—we played on the property, took short walks to the lake, soaked in the epic mountain views, and explored the local towns of Rosalyn and Cle Elum. You never know what to expect from a cabin, but it was super clean, fresh, and cozy. Love a home with a big dining table. We cooked multiple meals while enjoying a few meals out too. Our kids loved the bunk room and have not stopped talking about the coolest built-in beds! Mud room was spacious and it was great to toss our boots, coats, and beanies in that area before entering the living space. We look forward to returning to play in the snow and hopefully, see the lake in the summer.

We expected a pristine cabin in the woods, with a working television and a kitchen complete with necessary utensils and seasonings. The rugs, of which there were too many and not secured in place (several tripping incidents) were tired and dirty. Going up the treacherous steps to the upper level, had stains….human or dog? The chef in our group was exasperated by a hodge podge of cooking utensils, serving items, lack of seasonings, and no plastic wrap or aluminum foil. Lastly, we tried and tried to get into the system for the television. I assumed turning it on would be all it takes. Nope. To access the streaming service, it kept telling us to use OUR Prime Streaming account. None of us have a Prime account. Contacting the property manager about this issue was useless. It was frustrating because the text (no return phone call) said it was stated that we told the situation for accessing the television. I looked at the listing and all it stated under amenities: television. There’s too many VRBO rentals to choose from and I would have selected another. This rental was a disappointment. Bottom line: I’ll never return to this rental.

Yearly family gatherings started for us a couple years ago and every year we try a new place. This is at the top of our list. Very close to the lake, every night we used the firepit, enough beds so we didn't have to share, large kitchen and table for all of us. It was perfect. Thank you!

Six current and former work colleagues have tried to make an annual pilgrimage to the mountains in winter for much of the past 15 years. We have stayed in many places over the years and we all agreed that this place has all the amenities that we look for, The kitchen is very well appointed and the wood stove keeps the whole cabin quite toasty.

The cabin fit all of us very well, plenty of room. The huge dinning table was great for games and puzzles. The mud room was great for all of our snow gear. The place could use a deep clean.

The cabin was the perfectly laid back family vacation we were seeking, with sledding, skiing, and bonfire marshmallow roasting all close by and plenty of room for us to spread out. It was an easy 35 minute drive to Snoqualmie Pass to ski. Morning coffee by the wood fire and reading books while the kids watched cartoons turned into sledding down the hill by the lake before 9 am. The included sleds were great to have since we only brought a couple of our own, it was a big help! We could sled for an hour and then walk just 1 minute back to the cabin for breakfast, or if someone forgot their left mitten or wanted to grab a beer, or needed a warm up. With 4 kids under 8 years old and 2 dogs the proximity was a huge convenience so we could go back out whenever! We also went on lazy walks around the lake shore and threw rocks into the iced over sections. We drove into CleElum for a beer at DruBru (also very family friendly) before returning for marshmallow roasting and a big family dinner. The kitchen was well appointed for a big group with double sets of dishes and lots of utensils (the only thing we didn't find was a whisk.) There was even two eclectic griddles which was hugely convenient for pancakes and bacon for a group of 8 in the morning. The dining table easily sits 10 plus there's a lot of extra seating in the dining area with upholstered benches and the 3 stools at the kitchen island. No condiments are left in the fridge from previous guests so BYO mustard and hot sauce but there is salt, pepper, hot coca, marshmallows, and peppermints, and coffee and creamer provided which is really nice. We also appreciated the disposable plates, cups, and even the junk drawer with string and tape- it's the little things you don't think you'll need until the kids want to make a string and solo cup telephone to communicate between the awesome built in bunks. Having those things is what makes a house so much more convenient for our family than a hotel. We played games at the big dining table each night, pulling from the cupboard of board games available. The kids toys in the playroom/bunk room also kept the little boys entertained for hours. As parents, the huge mudroom with a side door entrance, with so many hooks for hanging dry clothes in between play sessions and keeping the house dry was one of those "oh thank God" things, and the dryer fits a ton.
