About this condo rental

Situated in Manchester, this attractive condo for $135 per night is a great choice for your next break. This is an awesome little apartment to call home for a long weekend or full year. It's a one-bedroom with all the essentials, plus the charm of an older Manchester building. There's a small galley kitchen that is fully equipped and ready for a feast. The bathroom is tiny, but functional. The small bedroom is charming and cozy. The living room has a sectional, smart TV, workspace, and the fastest internet available in town. An old sun porch is located off the living room, and is perfect for summer evenings. The building was originally built in the late 1800's as the home of Phineas Adams with the hustle and bustle of horse-drawn buggies up and down the street. It now has a new life as a small residential apartment building with seven units. We love the historic character of the building, but it does mean that you'll find sticky doors, creaky floors and lots of stairs. The apartment has modern electrical, and the fastest internet available in Manchester. A propane heater is located in the living room and window A/C unit is available June-September. The apartment is small, and is most comfortable for 1-2 people. The 72" couch can be used as a sofa bed, but it isn't the most comfortable. I'd only rely on that for a few nights. The bed, however, is great. It's a full-size memory foam mattress. The bed and a hanging clothes rack fill up the small bedroom. A full-size closet is located in the living room. The apartment does not have a dresser. The bathroom is modern, but very small. It has a tiny sink, and a shower stall. Guests are welcome to use the outdoor seating area on the front porch. The local laundromats are the best laundry option, but a washer and dryer are located in the basement, and available for your use anytime. You can pay using the Pay Range App, or with quarters. Just plan to bring your own, the change machine does not work. Smoking is not allowed in any of the units, or within 10 feet of open doors or windows. We love dogs, but please keep them off of beds and furniture. Dogs must be leashed in the common areas, and always remember to clean up after your dog. One car may be parked in the building lot. Additional vehicles must be parked on the street. Street parking is free on the street in front of the house, and on many of the surrounding streets. You may find you need to walk a few blocks, especially in the evening and summer months. This is a full-occupied building with 7 units. We love the character of this old Victorian building, but expect to find squeaky floors, sticky doors, and some noise from the other units. Scott & Michelle manage the short-term apartments upstairs. Long-term tenants are handled by Blue Door Living. Emergency maintenance requests will be handled as soon as possible. We have a maintenance team that responds to most non-emergency requests within 48 hours during the work week, 9am-5pm Monday-Friday. Manchester hosts a number of festivals and road races throughout the summer & fall. The roads surrounding the apartment are often closed for these events, but you can exit/enter the parking area through the alleyway behind the house. Paving and utility work is planned for our street and the surrounding streets summer of 2023 & 2024. Expect road closures and delays. The best way to get around is by car, but a city bus stop is located on Elm Street, a 5-minute walk from the apartment. A Greyhound station downtown has limited service to Boston and New York. Local cabs, Uber and Lyft are available, but book ahead if you're planning to travel late night/early morning.

My husband, son and I stayed for a long weekend during a Manchester-area soccer tournament. It was the perfect landing spot. We were able to easily do my son's uniform laundry in the basement which was safe and clean. The place was quiet and my son reported that the sofa sectional which adapts into a full-sized bed was fine for him. We walked across the street and got pizza one night and were able to use the kitchen to cook, no problem. We will return back in the future for sure!

Excellent location and convenient to just about everything. I bounced between Bedford and Manchester almost daily, with a couple of trips to Rye on the coast as well. Super easy to find and easy check-in with the automatic door locks with keypad. The unit had a fully functioning kitchen, which was great to bake treats for my son going to Saint A's. Everything was nice, clean and functional. The hosts were fabulous!
