The host was excellent, responsive and very generous with their time, attention and support to us. We felt very welcomed into a private, beautiful space and very grateful for the opportunity to spend time in what was obviously a very loved home. When we were there, it snowed for the first time in the year, yet the house was very efficiently insulated and heating was appropriately placed so that we did not have to do much to maintain a comfortable environment despite the cold outside. The view was extraordinary, from all three bedrooms! The new deck was astounding, and a lovely place to go up and see the whole harbour.

Only that we couldn't stay longer! Will definitely return one day.

private parking advertised was inaccessible problems with electricity so couldn’t use bedside lamps electric blankets tv had to use hairdryer in kitchen. diffusers were too overwhelming no milk available

Location is very scenic and within 5-7 min drive from city centre. Very comfortable stay.

A superb house with fabulous views over Otago Harbour - it's a pity it rained most of the time! It was very comfortable with excellent facilities, though we had trouble working the hob & TV! We phoned the owner, Nick, & he came out straightaway & sorted us out!

The access to the driveway was tricky but Nick did warn us & explained what to do. There was no information about the house appliances or any tourist information. We mentioned this to Nick & he admitted he should leave some instructions for people in future. Also there was a lack of signage. We weren't sure if we'd found the right place as there was no name (only a number, which was difficult to read in the wet) on the wall at the bottom of the drive. A directional sign at the bottom of Proctors road would be useful.

Being down just for one night it might have been good to have some milk in the fridge for a cuppa... we didn't have breakfast on site but we wanted a quick hot drink. We didn't think to bring milk.

We had a wonderful stay and enjoyed the beautiful views! The house is large, roomy and beautiful, and our bed (master) was very comfortable with lovely linens. Great shower, large bathrooms, toasty warm house, as we hit a cold Dunedin (summer) day.

Nothing we “didn’t like” but people need to be aware of outside stairs if they have heavy luggage or mobility issues. We had small carry-on size luggage so it was no problem. Also a somewhat tricky (steep) driveway although it was no bother to us.

Everything about this place was heaven, the views from every window were amazing, over looking the sea, had many wow moments. Beds were very comfortable and the house itself was beautiful. Will definitely be back to stay again.
