Location and facilities

The flat was bright, spacious, and very comfortable. It was located quite conveniently for the railway station, but was quiet at night.

Pro's: it had all you needed for a longer stay washer, stove, fridge, cutlery, TV and Netflix, wifi was reasonable (64 MBPS).Location was about 12 minute walk to Riverside area and train station, and another +20 minutes to city centre. The ceiling was nicely patterned stucco with cove moulding. Carpet is always a concern but it was pretty new. Overall clean. Arrived very late at night and walked over - it was a bit of challenge to find the place and the key in the dark. The host seems fine although we didn't have too much interaction.

Con's: there was no place to put your clothes so had to work out of the suitcase - one small dresser and a closet with hangers that was hard to get to. Some shelves would be nice BUT the smell of smoke was very heavy and not concealed by the chemical room freshener scent. As I write this 12 hours after leaving, I took out my Pajama shirt and it reeked of smoke. In retrospect probably would not want my clothes out or all would smell. There was a bit of a musty undercurrent as well. Maybe from the mould around the bathtub. The smell and the mould would be the only caution and why the ratings kind of waffle between some things good and others not so much.
