Located in Holetown, this lovely house for $106 per night is a great option for your next trip. One bedroom apartment in Sunset Crest, Hole town on the West Coast looking directly over the pool on the third floor .The apartment has a superb view of the beautiful gardens from the balcony. Well maintained and cared for as we pride ourselves on our high standards. They are fitted with everything you need for a relaxing holiday. You will find a new pool deck and sun loungers, all situated in the large gardens The apartments are in a superb position 5 min walk to the shops, bars and restaurants in Holetown, which is the up and coming place to stay in Barbados and the West Coast. There is a beach a short walk away with many more to choose from. For upmarket dining we recommend the Tides at the bottom of the road. The Lone star and Fish Pot and for a special evening the Cliff is a must. Try our cafe bar in the centre of the chattel village Cafe Bar Carizma for breakfast, lunch and tuesday tacis and live music and Thursday night quiz night . Our new addition Life is Sweet a fab dessert bar .Sample lunch from one of the street vendors, where the food is truly Bajan and freshly cooked. For well priced good quality food visit Zaccio's a 5 min walk away with happy hour 4:00 to 7:00 its where everyone meets to watch the fabulous sunsets. Read our information booklet when you book for much more detail. Out and about in Barbados : There are so many places to visit and so much to do, and so little time but don't hurry. Although you don't need to hire a car as the public transport is so good, it is fun to hire a mini moke or jeep and find all those places yourself. The rugged and wild East coast is not to be missed visit Bathsheba then drive down to Bottom Bay this everything you would imagine a Caribbean beach to look like. Take some food and drink with you and have a picnic. Check if there is any horse racing on at the Garrison in Bridgetown, this always guarantees a good afternoon. Polo is a great way to spend and afternoon in the Winter months . In fact there is something different to do an see every month of the year. A must is a Catamaran Cruise either with a group of people or book one just for you, swim with the turtles or just cruise up and down the coast. We've stayed in a number of different condo's over the years at Golden View and I have to say that Anita's is by far the best of them.
Anita met us at Golden View to show us the condo and there were a couple of ice cold beers waiting in the refrigerator. The kitchen is so well equipped with everything you could possibly want - oven, hob, microwave, toaster, kettle, coffee maker, pots and pans, plates and dishes, multiple glasses, cups and plates, cutlery by the score and so on.
The kitchen is also open plan which meant that air could rotate through the archway and, if you know Golden View, you will know the difference that this makes to the temperature in the Kitchen.
The condo has its own Wi-Fi which meant, as digital nomads, we could work as and when work was required to be completed.
The TV in the lounge area has multiple channels and, with the four hour time difference, we were able to watch the 10.00pm news at 6.00pm before venturing out for dinner.
The balcony has views over the pool and gardens and, from the table and chairs, we ate breakfast each morning watching the antics of the monkeys as they strode along with their breakfast mangoes.
The bedroom is spacious, comfortable and with aircon. Loads of hanging space, drawers and cupboards for clothes.
The bathroom was a delight to use as it has recently been renovated and there was ample hot water at all times. Plenty of towels to keep you dry with.
We really could not fault the condo and hope, at some time in the future, to return to it and to Golden View as it is an ideal place to simply relax.

The flat was well situated a short walk from Holetown and all the local bars and restaurants. The complex itself was quiet, with a great pool and a very handy Chinese restaurant on site. The flat was well set-up for a single person or couple with a good range of cooking equipment, it would suit those looking for a quiet break close to some great beaches and restaurants

The condo was exactly as described, no unexpected surprises. The pool was wonderful to have for a daily dip. Beautiful layout of property and gardens. Good location for access to pretty much everything including Massy's, beaches, restaurants, buses etc. Only problem we had in the condo, when you change channels on the t.v. you lose the sound. Didn't really care as we were not there to watch t.v.

Golden view is a great location , quiet ,convenient to all amenities, with a beautiful pool.
Our apartment was very nice and comfortable, we couldn’t get the TV to work but it wasn’t a major issue. A couple of extra utensils (grater, colander ) would have been useful .

Would strongly recommend renting Anita and Dave's property! It has everything you need. Very clean, with a lovely view overlooking the pool. The apartment even has a washing machine.

The property was well situated, lots of older people live/own the condos - very quite (locals think its a retirement home, LOL). Pool was excellent and appreciated. Suite was recently renovated. Furniture looks nice, but not so comfortable after a full day of touring & sightseeing. Bed was weird - two twins pushed together and twin sheets on each, but a king comforter shared, haven’t run into this before. The one and only air conditioning unit is in the bedroom; which was an issue for us as it blew directly on us while sleeping (great for a cold) and doesn’t cool the rest of the suite very well. Ad stated washer/dryer, but no dryer in the suite unless you call the portable clothes rack a dryer? I specifically asked if unit had a blender & was informed there was one - but there wasn’t. There was an issue with internet access when we arrived - no internet or tv as there was a problem with something - contacted owner & she came over, basically accused us of touching the fiber optic cable or something. Anyways, cost us additional money to get out of country data so we could plan outings & get a map.
I was a bit disappointed with this VRBO - I have stayed at several and all except this one exceeded my expectations. Given the past reviews I expected more: like a full set of matching dishes & utensils, wood spoons and splatulas that were not cracked & unusable, a flat frying pan rather than the wok fry pan, bar of soap, paper towel, face cloths, more than one roll of toilet paper, salt, pepper, Kleenex, clothes dryer and blender - you know a few creature comforts that we enjoy at home. If you are looking for that, this is probably not the place for you. I don’t mind paying more for rentals, but I didn’t feel that I got my moneys worth at this one... I give this vrbo a ‘Canadian’ rating of 2 stars - not the worst but definitely not the best.
P.S. fellow travellers: when we booked this trip we thought we would rent a scooter since we are from North American and drive on the opposite side of the road; but once we experienced the roads (pot holes like you have never seen before) and taxi trip (crazy fast) we changed our minds. We used the local buses which take you everywhere on the west coast and booked tours to distilleries/plantation, Bathsheba, various gardens and Harrison caves - all of which cost us less than renting a car and saved us from worrying about driving in a foreign country with unfamiliar driving regulations.

Arrived here for 2 weeks and was delighted to find the property was as described, nice and spacious with a good sized balcony. Very nice pool on site which gives some much needed relief from the heat of the day. Plenty of bits in property to use on beach such as beach chairs, cool box and beach mats along with a couple of snorkels. Air-con in bedroom was a godsend and we were allowed to stay until 4 pm on last day as nobody else booked in that day which was very generous. Position of apartment within Sunset Crest was very good as it took about 7 minutes and we were in the middle of Holetown.

Used Anita's appartment for my first visit to Barbados, and my wife and I couldn't have been happier.
The appartment was exactly as described, clean, comfortable and well equipped, as well as being perfectly centrally located in the long block, near the lifts and overlooking the pool. The little extra touches like beach towels and mats, cool box, face mask and flippers, lots of books and DVDs, etc, were well appreciated. Anita herself was very welcoming and helpful.
The pool and gardens are terrific, and never crowded during our stay, although it was of course the low season. The open sided Chinese restaurant on site is excellent and very reasonably priced; we had several take-aways which we ate on our balcony.
The well stocked supermarket and small shopping mall in Sunset Crest is less than ten minutes' walk, and the bus stops are outside it on the main road. As long as you don't mind walking a few hundred yards, there is absolutely no need to hire a car during your stay, everywhere is accessible by bus. All journeys of whatever length have a standard fare of B$ 1.50 (about 50p in UK money), buses are frequent, and are also great fun, particularly the private (yellow) buses which have reggae music blasting out of the speakers and also give change, which the public buses (blue) don't, so make sure you have the right money on those!
Highlights of our holiday included the five hour lunch and snorkelling cruise on the Calabaza catamaran out of Bridgetown (check them out on the internet - at 100US$ per person, a little more than most, but well worth it), our visit to historic plantation house St Nicholas Abbey in the north of the island, and the Friday night fish fry at Oistins, which was packed out and very lively.
Other good discoveries - the Fisherman's Pub on the seafront in the centre of Speightstown, very simple and basic but a great place to eat delicious Bajan food at rock bottom prices (lunchtime only). For sweet and savoury constituents of a picnic, check out the bakery 100 yds up the road from the Fisherman's pub.
Best beach: if you want to avoid the hustlers at Sandy Lane and Paynes Bay, get a Speightstown bus and go a mile north of Holetown, alighting at the Lone Star Restaurant bus stop. Cut down between the buildings and sit in the shade of the big tree directly outside the restaurant on the almost desterted beach. The sea floor is sandy and easy on the feet; Ju Ju's beach bar is one minutes walk south for a snack or sundowner cocktail.

This was our 6th visit to Barbados and to the Holetown area, but our 1st to Golden View. The accomodation was just superb: a real home from home with everything you could need and more. The apartment is beautifully furnished and maintained, and the air con was a real bonus. The description on the website is extremely accurate but you really do have to go to appreciate how good it is!
The pool, bar, restaurant and grounds are lovely and make for very lazy days. There is a very detailed guide in the apartment to help you decide what to do. The building is manned 24/7 and the whole place has a welcoming and homely feel to it.
The beach and Holetown are a short walk away and there are excellent bars and restaurants to choose from, as well as a variety of small shops, duty free and a supermarket.
Anita was so helpful throughout the whole process, from booking through to meeting us at the apartment. Customer service was faultless and beyond the call of duty. We really couldn't have been made to feel more welcome.
We would have absolutely no hesitation in recommending the property and we hope to return very soon.

Why did we enjoy the holiday so much?
Top quality apartment1 with high standards throughout...a credit to the owners. Very modern furnishings and interior design gave an immediate feel good factor. Everything had been thought of and was tastefully presented.
Excellent management and help from the owners Anita and Dave.
Pre holiday help was very swiftly and efficiently dealt with and an excellent information pack was sent in advance.
Extra nice touches included some rum waiting for us on the dining table when we arrived and Dave going out of his way to get two tickets for the England v West Indies. cricket match before we arrived.
Anita also helped in other ways before we arrived to ensure that our holiday would go smoothly.
It was a pleasure to meet them both on a number of occasions and share a meal and a few drinks.We hope to be back sooner than later.

313 is a fantastic apartment in Golden View. It is perfectly positioned overlooking the pool and the gardens. The balcony is a great place to chill out in the evenings. We found the whole apartment is finished to a high standard and is complimented by thoughtful finishing touches such as the welcome pack, beach mats and towels. Anita & Dave were extremely helpful in providing advice on the best beaches, restaurants etc. We look forward to returning very soon!

Frank and Margaret stayed at Apartment 2 at the end of February and first 2 weeks of March 2009 and on entering we felt at home and knew we would be comfortable. It has clean bright decor, nice layout and very well equipped kitchen for a self catering holiday although we ate out at local eateries half of the time. There is ample storage space, a fair sized bathroom with bath and shower and plenty of hot water. Air conditioning is available but we never actually used it, we found the ceiling fans adequate for keeping cool. There is a good selection of books both in the apartment and in the meeting room situated on the same floor so you could save some room and weight in your luggage! We found the good sized balcony overlooking the well kept garden an excellent retreat for sundowners before dinner.
The complex is very peaceful with nice gardens and lovely pool with sun beds and garden furniture always available either in the sun or in the shade under trees. The location is ideal, close to lovely beaches, handy for buses to almost anywhere, only 5 minutes walk through a park to a well stocked supermarket and shops and close to many types of restaurants to suit most pockets. We enjoyed early morning walks on the beach or around the Sandy Lane Estate. The detailed walk left in the apartment for visitors was a good starting point and once we got our bearings we varied it for long, medium or short walks depending on how energetic we felt on the day! Most mornings we met some of the green monkeys living in the area. They love bananas but beware, take more than one banana because once you offer the fruit they seem to appear in great numbers from all directions! A few even appeared in the garden of Golden View one lunchtime.
Although a car isn't essential we hired one for a couple of days to see some of the more remote places and after visiting some of the other holiday destinations on the South Coast we felt that the West Coast was the best place to be - especially Holetown and Port St Charles near to where Anita & Daves newly renovated rental cottage is situated. We hope to return to Barbados in the future and would not hesitate to stay in this or Apartment 1. Thanks to Anita for her help and guidance during our stay and to Audrey for her services

A wonderful place to spend your vacation.The Apt was exceptionally clean,you could see your face in the floors,it had everything anyone would need.Sophie ,the maid came every 5 days and cleaned ,changed beds,towels ,ect.She cleaned the apt from top to bottom[what a gem]The grounds and pool are lovely,everything in and out well kept.We walked to the stores each day,a 10 min walk.We would stay again in a heart beat.We enjoyed everything.Dave and Anita are good people.

Just back from a month in Barbados. The apartment was one of the nicest we have stayed in at Goldenview - Beautifully decorated, very comfortable - maid service a plus - anita and dave were very helpful - lots of extras that other apartments don't have - within short walking distance to stores, restaurants, beaches - lots of Barbados information in the apartment complex including wireless internet - the large pool was great - nice to come home to after a day out, or spend the day by - would suggest at walk to Zacchios for dinner overlooking the water and gorgeous Barbados sunsets - also swimming with the turtles from a catarmaran, and tours of the island on 4x4 jeeps - a great place to relax, re-group and get warm!! would highly recommend this apartment! can't wait to return and have already booked for future trip!

My wife and I have just returned from over 2 weeks in APT1. The apartment is fitted and finished to the very best standards. Everything you could anticipate is there and in good condition. It is in a lovely quiet setting and within short walking distance (10 min) of shops restaurants, banks and the beach. It is just as described in the Propery Details. Anita is very friendly, helpful and efficient. So if two of you are looking for a self catering holiday place in Barbados this is it.

We have nothing but good things to report about this apartment. The apartment was well furnished, clean, bright and comfortable. The pool and the grounds were well maintained and even better than the pictures. The location was good with beaches, bars and restaurants within a short walking distance. Anita was very attentive and helpful during our stay and Sophie came twice to clean and change out the towels. We could not have chosen a better place to stay and did and will recommend this apartment to others. You cannot go wrong here. Thanks Anita & Dave

We loved this apartment so much when we were there in October 2007 we are going back this October 2009. The apartment was immaculate with every comfort you could possibly need. We found everything about our stay perfect even down to the lovely view from the balcony over the pool to the perfect short distance from the lift back to the apartment. We enjoyed many different restaurants but our favourite was Champers in the South. We are really looking forward to this October as we are celebrating our 10th Wedding Anniversary

We have stayed in apartments at Golden View quite a few times but we have just had our first stay in this apartment. It is certainly the best we have stayed in. Golden View apartments are ideally placed just a few minutes walk from the lovely west coast beach and a small cluster of shops, which have everything you need without the need to hire a car. The apartment itself was lovely. Tastefully decorated, well maintained, clean, very comfortable beds and with lots of extra touches from beach towels to DVD and CDs to make you feel at home. An apartment we would definitely recommend.
